Im having troubles with the graphics-as stated in the announcements, updating the graphics driver fixed it- however, i had to get rid of the driver in order to use my computer, as it would kill my computer due to compatibility issues. So, my dillema is now, i get large squares of color on the ground, nothing has a frame, and all the information-exp bar, health mana, all are just large rectangles of color. Blizzard had said that a graphics driver update from Intel sight would work, but i cant use the driver. Did anyone come up with anything to fix this problem other than blizzards way? I personally think blizzard needs to make these updates compatible without having to do major "surgery" on your computer.

Your biggest issue is why the drivers aren't compatible. Are you sure you're installing the right ones? You're not just installing some random driver from Intel are you? Maybe getting the drivers directly from Nvidia or ATI like your supposed to might help.

Acually, It was a Sight specifically provided by Blizzard. So naturally, being one who doesnt dabble in such things as playing with graphics cards-i thought i could download the correct driver.

Blizzard shouldn't have to support 2 year old drivers for hardware when the hardware has drivers that fresh and released just months ago.

You need to look up what your actual graphics chipset is and get the latest driver for it from the manufacturers website or from your laptop/desktop seller's website. HP, Dell, Gateway, etc all have driver update resources. This is not "major surgery" it is basic upkeep of your system. It's like mowing the lawn at your house.

Raolan, the issue is with the Intel graphics. They aren't made by Nvidia or ATI, and the direct source of the drivers is the Intel website. Old 2007/8 drivers don't work with the 3.2 patch and you need to update to the driver that was released in 2009.

I do quite often. My posts on this issue in WoW general discussion were made from the FFXI skin. I use the FFXI skin for everything.

FFXI, EQ, WoW, Vanguard, etc.

Click on the word Forums up at the top and you'll see a lot more than just WoW forums here.

As for your graphics card click on your start button and click run (not sure what it is in vista) and then type in dxdiag and hit okay. Click on the 'Display' tab and come here and post the Name, Manufacturer, Chip Type, and Memory size of your display, or graphics card.

And like was mentioned updating drivers is not major surgery, doesn't take long and is fairly simple.

It's still "run". Just FYI.
