POL won't start on xbox 360Follow

Hi, I hope someone can help. Earlier during Campaign ffxi froze for the first time on my 360. I waited for a while and had to do a manual shutdown. Hours later I try to play and it won't even start POL.

My console knows I have the ffxi disc in there since it says so under "My xbox," but when I hit "Play PlayOnline Viewer" it trys to load for about 30 seconds and then says, "Unrecognized Disc- the disc is unreadable. Clean the disc with a soft cloth. Restart the console." I know I don't have a dirty/ scratched disc for several reasons: I haven't moved the console or taken the disc out of my 360 for months, and when I examined the disc it was spotless (I'm OCD about my tech items).

I would try to uninstall FFXI and POL except that I can't log onto POL to do so. As far as I was able to gather, there is no other way to uninstall it from the harddrive without being logged onto POL.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what I can do to fix this it? Help is greately appreciated. I hope to be on in time for tomorrow's Dynamis :3

Thanks in advance,

Actually I have the same problem and am wondering if you have recieved anyway to solve this. Before the last time I played I got a system error msg e74 considering xbox 360 is bound to fail. Now when I try to play FFXI it doesn't do anything. Mostly I get " the game won't start please download again " but considering I can't get to POL. Please anyone! Help.

Thanks,
Sn0w.

I believe there is a way to format your xbox hard drive from the menus. I would google reformatting xbox hard drives. You could also try clearing out the virtual memory or whatever but I currently forget the button code to do it.
