Not if you want to use it for anything other than internet porno and flash games.

The thing has a PCI-E slot, but I don't know what that wimpy 220W PSU is gonna be able to support should you think you want to put something else in it. If you're lucky it'll use a standard ATX PSU you could upgrade, but brand name computers like to use proprietary sizes and crap, especially for cheap PCs.

In general, Acers aren't made for gaming, especially for $220.

If you're looking for a computer for basic internet surfing, email, a couple of offline games, etc. Then it's good(I assume, the link is broken now). If you're looking for a new cheap gaming rig, then you're way off. I spent $900 on mine(although if I had bought it at a shop instead of buying the parts and having my friend assemble it, it would be closer to $2000-2500). I just can't see it being possible to get a good PC for online gaming for any less than $1000.

I don't think it'd be too hard to mix and match parts for a gaming PC for about $600-800, but that'd be for the tower alone.

Good video cards can be had for <$200, DDR2 is dirt cheap, same with a good Core 2 Duo (or Athlon64 X2 if you really want) and motherboard. Case isn't important as long as it's got good ventilation with a couple fans here and there.

But of course.. this does no good if you don't have a monitor, keyboard, Windows, etc.

Greetings shadomen,

I would advise against purchasing that computer. As the others have said here, it wouldn't run anything well except basic web browsing programs. It also appears to be invalid now too.

Please see my System Performance Guide below for insights into cheap, yet powerful PC components. If you have a certain budget threshold, I would be happy to help pick out a PC system for you.
