WoW Update Trouble....Follow

Ok... Returning to WoW cause my laptop won't let me play FFXI ... so after re-installing WoW ... and Burning Crusade... Then the updates started... after the almost 2 hour update was downloaded and installed... i start up WoW and log in... it then says the update was installed successfully (i think thats what is says anyways.. was too mad to read it) and that i need to restart WoW... So i hit the restart button and WoW closes... then it starts to download the 400 and whatever MB update/patch... which ever.. but this time it takes 15 seconds.. when it gets done it says something about the application was not applied ... and in the box it says "World of Warcraft is already installed" i can do this 9000000000000000000000 times and the same result... Any help?
