POL Error - (Send Error Report Message)Follow

This morning when I tried starting FFXI I had an error message saying something was wrong with my Direct3D. So I read a few posts on forums and messed with the FFXI Config tool to change the BG resolution from 640x480 to 1024x768 (I think that's how it was, it must have reset itself), updated my driver, and reinstalled DirectX. Now that same message doesn't show up anymore, but now I get a message saying PlayOnline came across an error and had to close (with the "Send Error Report" and "Don't Send" buttons at the bottom.) Not sure what to do from here. I have a feeling it has to do with my video card (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE) but I'm not sure. I'll probably try reinstalling FFXI before I buy a whole new video card just so I don't waste money. Also, I'm not sure if this has to do with my FFXI problem, but when I started my computer this morning I had a Notepad document labeled "hs_err_pid2912" on my desktop that I've never seen before. Any help or advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated, since I'm simply clueless on what I should do.
