Internet connection intermittentFollow

Hello all,

my friend is having trouble with his internet connection and we were wondering if anyone could give us any pointers. He has 3 computers hooked up to the router(DLink DIR625), one laptop that is wireless (working fine), one desktop that is wired (working fine again), and the big desktop (his gaming pc!) is wired to router and keeps showing that his router is offline, while the other two are working fine. At times it'll go offline for 5 mins and then be fine for a few hours, and the time varies all over when it's working and not working.

He's currently running Zone Alarm for his pc security system (anti virus, spyware, etc), and Pure Network Magic for the network setup.

He has updated his router version, everything is up to date. No error messages at all from anything. The rest of the PC is working fine, just intermittent internet connection.

If anyone has any suggestions we'd greatly appreciate it!

Network Interface Card, basicly where the Cable going from the router to the NIC on the computer connects.

Also try a new cable from the router to the computer having the problem. You can try using a port off the router (that has a good working connection) and hook the computer that is having the problems up to that port.

I will think of more options later today.
