Pentium 4/2.40 ghz
Ram 256
Geforce4 MX
Windows XP
Ok my problem is installing Rise of the Zilart expansion package for FFXI. When the install starts up it stops just as quickly with an
-Internal Error 271.EX1_ALL-
then when I press ok I get another error message -
Error - 1603 Fatal Error during installation. Consult windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information
I have no idea what the problem is or where to begin. If you recall I had problems installing FFXI itself until I cleared my registry of POL files then installed again.
If I cant get Rise of the Zilart to install then I wont be able to get the advanced jobs...amongst other things. Please Help Me

Have you tried calling tech support? They may be able to diagnose it better (I hope) than we would.

To clarify some more, When I start the installation I get the first error message right at the get go.
The install progress is at 0% with the message --Computing Space Requirments--
I checked out the link you sent but I couldn't do any of the resolutions
After the first error message I get the 1603. Do I not have enough hdd space for the install?? Do I have to uninstall/reinstall everything again? or maybe just FFXI itself??
anymore advice is greatly appreciated. I really REALLY need this install to go through....otherwise that is no point to play anymore
EDIT: I just tried installing CoP, I didn't finish the whole thing but it started up with no problems. So why is Rise of Zilart giving me hell?? CoP went right past the --computing space requirments-- message
