FFXI + Windows MCE = No music?Follow

Just got a brand new Dell XPS laptop, runs FFXI like a champ with its ATI graphics card, but i haven't heard a single bit of background music, and the game sucks.


I hear music in the viewer, but nothing once the game goes full screen, just sound effects in battle, and spells in or out of battle.

Any idea what i could do to fix this? I've checked to make sure the music was set to On in the config tool and the registry, and I checked the volume settings in the Gameplay config menu in the game, everything should be nice and loud if it were working.


Its not home right now to get any specs on it, but i do remember it being a ATI card with SigmaTel audio, maybe i should also mention when i ran the benchmark3 before i installed, the benchmark3 had sound.
