CD-R/W errorFollow

#1 Mar 15 2006 at 3:20 PM Rating: Decent
Lately whenever I put a CD-R or CD-R/W in my DVD/CD-R/W I get an error saying "E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function." The drive can read game/music CDs just fine so I know its not a problem with being able to detect CDs. I've also tried two different kinds of blank discs and neither have worked so I don't think its the disc.

I did a few searches on Google and the only things I could find is that this can happen when using Nero or some other CD burning program that I don't use. Any ideas?

Well I found out that iTunes could detect the CD even though Windows couldn't. So I burnt a song on to it and right away Windows detected the disc and asked me what I wanted to do. So I went to put a file on and I got the error message: "Files on this CD-ROM are read-only. You cannot move or files over to this CD-ROM drive." So basically I found a way for Windows to acknowledge that I have a disc in the drive but I still can't transfer files through anything but iTunes!

Is there a program that I can use for transfering files? The kind of files I'm trying to tranfer on is: a 400mb .bin file as well as Daemon-Tools install file. (If you know anything about P2P you probably know what I'm doing, but that doesn't matter :P)
