Computer WoesFollow

#1 Jul 29 2004 at 9:11 PM Rating: Decent
As a fun side project I thought I would attempt to assemble a pc from scratch. I had some recommendations for half way decent parts that were cheap enough so that if I destroyed the thing no big deal. Figured it would be a fun learn as you go project.

I have a P4 Mainboard M920 Series ATX Motherboard, with a pentium 4 2.0 processor installed and I have made it to the part where I am supposed to start it up and load the bios. Well when I go to hook up the monitor for the first time I realize there is no place to plug it in. I have two PS/2 ports, two serial ports, one parrell port, one MIDI/game port and six USB's. So basically I have no picture. The guy at the local computer shop where I bought the motherboard said that if I have windows Xp then it should automatically load a 16 Bit driver which would work until I could load the correct drivers (Radeon 9200). My system is not loading any drivers (have not even reached the point where I can load windows XP) and I am fresh out of help as the guy at the local computer shop is of no help.

Any advice, suggestions or solutions?
