Missing Textures since Update in FFXIFollow

Since the FFXI update today (7/6/04), I've had texture problems. These screen shots are a bit dark for some reason, but toward their edges, you can see the textures disappearing:

The official game tech support folks haven't heard anything about this problem, so I turn to those who almost definitely know more: The Players.

It's worth mentioning that I play at 1042 all around with textures and overlay uncompressed. When Tech Support had me switch to compressed textures, all the landscape turned grey. The only colors were on MOBs and foliage.

I'm really at a loss here, and if anyone can help, I'd be forever grateful. Thanks!
