mouse problem when i play eq help i am desperateFollow

my problem is when i play in everquest. i move the mouse and the pointer moves so slow like in slow motion. it's like i move the mouse then the pointer starts moving after 5secs that's pretty bad i believe since pointer should move as i move the mouse. both should move at the same time. it's so frustrating that i havent played for almost a month. THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN THE GAME. i've tried every possible solution they have in the search knowledge base but nothing seems to work. i got no more programs running in back; updated the mouse driver; its an optical mouse so no dirt... and also i thought that it could be lag in game but this problems gets worse when i play in LDoN and that's not a place with much lag. if fact it works better in pok. if any1 could help me with a possible solution i would really appreciate it. if it's too big the solution to post it here e-mail me please iamisteright@yahoo.com. i am desperate to fix this problem. thanks for cooperating and helping. it is appreciate it.

Use paragraphs. They are your friends.

Is it a USB or PS2 mouse? I'd suggest re-installing DirectX if you haven't already done so.

Is it possible that you forgot to check the mouse options in game to adjust the speed of it as it is only happening when playing EQ?

When I first started playing I noticed the same problems and then someone told me about this option. Now I can move with relative ease in any zone.

As suggested in the previous post check your EQ options or entries in the eq.ini file. If you have a Microsoft mouse/keyboard, it would probably be a good idea to update the IntelliPoint/IntelliType software as well. This will create a control panel applet where you can control the speed of the mouse. The current version of this software is v5.0. It's not unusual to have v2.0 or v3.0 of this software.

You can download this software for free at http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/default.mspx

Is this a wireless mouse by any chance? if so, have you tried replacing the batteries recently? It is probably a mouse driver issue, but it could also possibly be a keylogger, very remote chance of that. Still, might want to run a virus scan just in case.
