On another PC I use, it turns out that when I hit the spacebar, my cursor backspaces. It seems to be doing this in every program...even FFXI (now topic related post). This really annoys me when playing FFXI on my pther PC. I am positive nothing got spilled into the keyboard. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I'm not sure if my sister did anything to the PC or not. My operating system is Windows ME.....

backspaces or deletes? Try hitting the "Insert" key and see if that helps.
I've had a similar problem. It was the keyboard at fault.
Either
a) take the keyboard and try it on another computer, or
b) get another keyboard and try it on yours.
See what happens.

It is quite possible that the spacebar got mapped to backspace. I would make that "highly likely" if you have a programmable keyboard.
Bascially these add an entry to your Registry redefining what the input from a specific key means.
