I had the problem before of the game just crashing out on me right to the desktop. Turns out I had a bad motherboard, and I got it fixed. Now, I am having another problem, and I hope it won't be as hard to fix.

In the game, after a bit of playing, on the textures (mostly in San'doria, or rough-hewn caverns like the passage-ways in the Yuhtunga Jungle), little glitches of colors in the shape of squares or rectangles start appearing all over the textures. Anyone have any idea of what might cause this? or how to fix it?

Does this happen after an amount of time? Meaning it will be fine for a while, then all of a sudden things (they are actually called "artifacts") appear strangely? This is USUALLY caused by excessive heat on the GPU/Video Card or perhaps overclocking of the GPU/Video Card. Occasionaly this can be a driver problem, but 99% of the time it's heat or too much OC on the card.

If you are overclocking the card, clock it back down. If you are not OC'ing the card then I'd try to keep the card cooler, which depends on your case to do.

I had that same problem.

I had it narrowed down to being a Graphics Card problem, most likely the memory in the card getting corrupted and causing artifacts. (I don't know if that actually happens, I just kinda made it up).

Anyway, I went to in-game Menu -> Config -> (Misc maybe, i forget which option) -> Weather Effects b]Off[/b

And I haven't had a problem since.
