I soloed my very first avatar, Garuda, monday. Talk about a good time.

Wyrm armet dropped from King Zagan last night. I was the only one spending points for first lot so I'm a proud owner now!
It was funny as hell because right when he died I said "Drop the armet!" and he did. People were asking me to get tough with the other mobs after that so they could get their relic. XD

It was also one of only four relic drops, despite the improved drop rate chances.

Went from staff lvl 155 to 201 in 8hrs....was determined to get spirit taker. Now at 203, only 12lvls to go....

Cleared to floor 95 on Nyzul Isle :)

Got to floor 100 of Nyzul with the help of the awesome Saurian Helm (I don't do Dynamis, so no Wyrm Armet for me )

Saurian is honestly the best purchase I ever made on Dragoon, even though it nearly wiped my finances (I'm always broke)

Got my Runic Key finally and will finally get to start trying to unlock Drakesbane. Already had enough points on Swordbreaker to got Mandalic Stab when I got there, but stupid me forgot to pre-break latent Radiant Lance >.>

Oh well, a couple hours as /sam with my SAM friend should fix that up :)

Also got last chip needed for Omega... here is to hoping 2x pants drop lol!

Runic Key and Drakesbane are both GET.

Got a merit party 2 minutes after getting out of Dynamis - Xarcabard (on DRG/BLU, shocker). Not only did I parse first, but I also cured more HP than the RDM did. I'm hooked.

Soloed a Greater Colibri.

Duo chain #5 for 372 exp on g.colibri along with a PUP/WAR after everyone else left the pt. This sh*t is ballin'.

Deep Breathing unlocked.

I wanna go to Nyzul Isle as DRG/mage from now on.

Empathy merit #2.

DRG/BLU is now doubleplusgood. I know everyone talks about how big of an upgrade getting your Wyrm Armet is, but damn, I just didn't really know until now. I feel like a real DRG.

Well I got 75 DRG on Oct. 2nd after about 204 days of playtime and 4 yrs. 10 months real time, been my goal since I started playing. Took me so long because I was determined to be the best DRG I could be. I leveled THF first because I thought it would help me make money (ha!), then BRD for some easy merits, then NIN for diversity (aka tank job) and it was a lot of fun too, and lots of subjobs in there and farming for better DRG gear.

I had Z's Trident in storage, wow is that junk. I suppose I should test it out, as I know a DRK and THF with the other weapons, although I'm sure I'll still be underwhelmed.

I had runic key and Radiant Lance already and earned Drakesbane a few days later, actually before I capped my polearm. Actually, I maxed xp, got 4 merits (agnon and 1 polarm) and learned drakesbane before I capped my polearm. I was capped at lvl 72, but did sync parties for 73-74 (first half). - hard level range now. Then have been /whm instead of /sam.

Love the job anyways. Now to pursue more attack gear.

to be fair, it was a bit better than o'lance at the time, and of course x's knife is still good. unfortunately, death scythe existed so sidegrading the DRG at the expense of weakening the DRK would be kind of odd.

Meh, I just want to screw around with it, to say I did it moreso than anything else. I also have X's knife, and the DRK also has the trident (but not DRG leveled). I know of 1 or 2 others on my server with X's though. Not high on my list of priorities. I would like to reaffirm my thoughts that is junk.

I lost a chance at a Wyrm Belt to a WHM who doesn't have DRG leveled because I didn't have enough points. Does that count for anything?

Soloed Ose down to 20% while my RNG friend was AFK. He came back just in time to watch me eat blaster and get killed shortly after. He proceeded to send Ose to hell with various ranger like abilities.

The whm that dced, my protege, who was the reason we were there, got back just in time to raise me and go 1/1 on her AJ for her 65 DRG!

I'm soo proud of her. Makes me feel ancient though.
