I dont think any of these could replace Senji as main hand but there are some SEXY offhands here... the Double Attack, the Lightning Dex/ACC, and the Fire Str/Attack..

And some sexy Eva Katana's too.. some sexy stuff here... time to have like 6 Katanas i can use on NIN.

I am still gonna have a hard time replacing my Senji; however with that said If I had to change I would be looking at a Fire and Lightning katana... str, dex, attack, and accuracy especially if i have Merits in other places and cannot sacrifice them in Katana. But it depends on the proc rate of that Double Attack as well...

so many things to think about.. just get one of everything :)

that is 36+7 for a total of 43dmg 227delay. that easily replaces Senji. it is 1 more dmg than a standard relic katana.

also look at these for good main hand:
600->605 Kuina (27/227 Dmg +11 dly -17 impairs eva +10)
606->611 Kuina (27/227 Dmg +11 Dly -17 lowers acc +10)

and these for offhand:
606->609 Kuina (27/227 Dmg +9 Dly -26 Dex +4 Acc +8)
600->603 Kuina (27/227 Dmg +9 Dly -26 Agi +4 Eva + 12)
594->597 Kuina (27/227 Dmg +9 Dly - 26 Str +4 Atk +12)

they are all either 38dmg 210 delay or 36dmg 201 delay. even some of the offhand katanas could replace senji.

I also believe all of the Kuina are NOT rare, while the Mozu and Isatu are rare.

it cant be beat because it doesnt exist.

btw, Mozu doesn't require T3 VNM drops, it only requires killing the 2 different T2 ones a few times.

personally, im not going to jump on getting one of the more sought after katanas and will go for something better used for soloing for now (like the agi / evasion one). reason being, in 3 months the level cap is going to raise. so while now Mozu is the highest dmg katana available, there may be some AHable DMG 41-43 katanas available at level 80, making all that work for nothing. the stat katanas will be good during soloing no matter what though.

almost forgot, you can dual wield the agi/evasion katanas as well. :)

Doing some quick math I figured the proc rate on occasionally attacks twice would need to be at least 30% or higher to beat Perdu off hand, any lower Perdu hits the same amount of hits in the same amount of time or slightly faster due to the high 232 delay versus 190 delay.

So if it doesn't proc at least 30% it may not be worth it over Perdu, since if they hit roughly the same number of hits over the same time it's basically 2 DMG versus +10 Attack and +5 Accuracy; I'd personally still take Perdu myself.

And duel wielding those evasion katanas is crazy, it's roughly +28 evasion with a respectable DMG and very low delay lol

I might just hold off on doing another katana at the moment, just to see what people get from testing them to see if it's worth it first; and who knows maybe with the future updates they will be able to upgraded further as someone mention, that would be nice.

Though that +ACC katana will be awfully nice to have (haven't decided yet whether to drop my Fudo or my Perdu in favor of it yet)

Greater colibris don't seem to work however :(

I did my first evasion katanas first stage in uncapped pso xja. The path I walk has only 4 lizards. I also kill 2 bats and 3 diremites to clear and to have something to do during repop time. 4 on 16 minute pops sucks, but its weather there like 95% of the time.


Its the tower at F-7. There are also 4 'too weaks' right at that entrance, so if you synced to like 55 you could do those 4 without walking the loop over and over. Its not that bad, about 12 hours to finish and dont have to chase weather. Next stage (fungars) gonna suck way worse. Maybe level sync for carpenters landing? I dunno.

Fungars are easy. Do Brasscaps in Grauberg (S)

Get to rabao and check weather for Altepa desert. If there is some weather planned for the next 2~3 days, head to the Nussknacker camp in QS caves.

There are 8 DC lizards (one is behind a door, you'll have to pull through), which makes 24 lizzies/hour if you have luck with weather. Didn't find anything better.

Probably is. But the D34 Izatu is probably an even better offhand.

Im looking at the wiki and I dont see any lizards in quicksand caves that would be DC toa lvl 75, let alone EP... o.O

15% DA from /war and brutal
100 rounds = 115 main hand hits and 115 off hand hits
(115 + 115) * .95 = 218.5 total hits at capped acc

218 * 5.9 = 1286.2 total tp in 100 rounds
100 rounds @ 206 delay = 5.7 mins
225.6 tp per min

So, the cheap izatu gives about 25 more tp per min, excluding things such as ws delay, outside haste, and magic casting. The question is whether the extra 25 tp per min is worth having a low dmg offhand as well as losing the extra 10 attack. im thinking perdu still comes out ahead.

Actually your TP per hit is incorrect. If I'm not mistaken it should be something like this.

Mozu/cheap
227 + 242 = 469
469*0.62 = 290
290/2 = 145 delay per hand
5.0 + [(145 - 180) * 1.5 / 180] = 4.7
4.7*1.06 = 4.9 tp per hit

Mozu/Perdu
227 + 190 = 417
417*0.62 = 258
258/2 = 129
5.0 + [(129 - 180) * 1.5 / 180] = 4.5
4.5*1.06 = 4.7 tp per hit

Then going with your hits/100 round calculation you end up with..

Mozu/Isatu
242*4.9 = 1185.8 tp in 100 rounds
1185.8tp/6.4min = 185.2 tp per min

Mozu/Perdu
218*4.7 = 1024.6 tp in 100 rounds
1024.6tp/5.7min = 179.7 tp per min

So 5.5 more tp per min with the Isatu.
Definitely not worth gutting your melee dot for in my opinion.

I had recently finished the Isatu 34/232 OAT katana and been testing a bit, the 40% proc rate seems pretty accurate so far and it indeed doesn't stack with DA as stated by others, though when I /WAR with Brutal offhand seems to be at least 50% or slightly better on attacking twice offhand since either OAT or DA can proc but this is just eyeballing it; also with /WAR four hits in a row happens more often too, not frequently but certainly not as rare as before lol.

Though I have to say this is a really nice offhand katana, it's fun to play with and if it can be upgraded even further will be pretty awesome ^..^

day/weather fire means it needs either fire weather or to be on firesday.
