Hey all,
After some thought, I've decided to level my thf. I looked around a lot, but I still have a few questions I was hoping for help on.
1) What keys should I use for lockpicking? I'm not sure this was ever actually settled.
2) Do I need to get the Nyzul ws? It looks like no, but I want to be sure.
3) I have two agi/eva kilas +3, twilight, and I could get a triplus. Besides TH dagger, any other I need/should get?
4) Is there a preferred merit build? I'm thinking 5/5 triple attack, 5/5 flee, 5/5 feint, 1/5 Aura Steal, 4/5 Ambush
5) Do I just need my treasure hunter gear equipped for a single hit on the mob and does it need to be my first hit?
6) Daka... good enough? Unnecessary? Not Enough?

1: No idea :( Not even bothered so can't help.
2: No. Might be fun, but unlike Dnc it's not required.
3: Awesome set. Wish I had Twilight and Triplus for all purposes... but you seem set.
4: Ambush is no good, need to be behind the mob which never happens. Rest are really up to you. 5/5 Triple of course, others are situational. I HATE Aura Steal.. so many wasted steals for ancient currency I end up with Protect... I'd go 5/5 Feint 5/5 Assassin's Creed.
5: Make it the first because the chance of getting a TH+ is there. Would suck to get TH proc without any TH gear on. Once you hit it though, swap to reg gear.

In my line of work the title "Doc" isn't earned with some fancy degree.

1- Lock-picking has not been very useful for a long time now, so I would not bother.
2- Mandalic Stab is basically useless as a DD WS, so unless you need it as a trigger or for a skillchain, you can save yourself the time.
3- You've already got plenty of useful weapons, no need to invest more unless you really want to. Other useful daggers are the TP bonus (for Aeolian Edge burn) and STR (for pure DD) magian trial daggers.
4- I have done Sneak Attack 5 / Triple Attack 5 and Aura Steal 5 / Feint 5.
5- Your first hit establishes the baseline for TH on the mob, so you should have all your TH gear along with DA / TA and Bully to start with with the highest TH you can then switch to your TP set and keep doing SA / TA to increase TH.
6- Given the choice between a WoE dagger and Empy dagger, I'd take the Empy dagger.
Steal always checks Items before Buffs, so you can max out Aura Steal and not have to worry about losing out on items. In fact, maxed out Aura Steal sometimes nets your great buffs from NM like Luminous Drape.

Wow didn't know that! Only stolen 1 coin so far, rest were fails or buffs so not sure.

That's because steal rate on ancient currency is bollocks regardless.
I can't tell you how many times I wanted to steal Ice Spikes and got a Bone Chip instead. The truth is that I find Aura Steal much more useful than Steal 95% of the time due to the limited Steal pool on most mobs.
