Twilight and????Follow

Not including Twash, mandau, or Daka+2, STR Kila + triplus or twilight + triplus will probably give you the best overall DPS.

I finished a DEX Kila and honestly it hasn't seen the light of day. I'll probably keep it going with future trials just in case it has a few surprises coming, but as of now it's not that great.

Rapidus Sax.

In all honesty I'd avoid the Rapidus Sax just because of how easily Thf can cap haste at 90. Take my Thf for example; I only have +1 Raider's legs as far as Empyrean goes for it, but I'm comfortably sitting at the haste cap using generally easy to obtain gear (Walahra Turban, Rapparee Harness, Homan Hands/Feet, Twilight Belt, and Raider's Culottes +1). Depending on your gear setup you may need that haste, but more likely than not you'll be able to easily cap your haste off in TP gear you'd want to be using anyway.

What has capping haste got to do with Rapidus Sax?

The point of Rapidus Sax is that it has a 150 delay which gains tp relatively faster then a higher delay weapon. See this chart: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/File:Tpgain.jpg

Capped haste with a 150 delay off-hand is better then capped haste with a 180 delay off-hand.

And yes capping haste (from just gear) is easy. Nobody was arguing that.

Im worry because a lot of thiefs here. Is losing the soul of a DD. Because of ruby lights. That is very sad. I will be focus only in do damage, when going a party and my goal is almost every battle start with a big EVI 2500 - 3000 range.

I was using Attack kila / Rapidus sax. I loved that combo right now iam using Triplus/Rapidus and iam sure this combo will be close Twilight/triplus.

The Dot Triplus/Rapidus sax. Is marvelous is like a the old blau/sir in steroids. Really having 25% haste and the body 3 DW and the amo 3 DW reduction. This combo will be very solid for now.

Iam using this TP set. I love that and im sure the delay is something very important. We have take in consideration use low delay daggers.

A litle advice and anecdote for all my dear thiefs.

The other Day i was in a abbysea party. The other party had a great dancer. After i check the parse i founded the dancer was Pretty near of my damage.

"Our eviseration numbers was almost the same". Her DOT was a little inferior because i was using triplus/rapidus and the triple attack merited and my low delay daggers was the diference.

She was using DNC/War and i was using Thf/war. Hmm i was surprised she was subing war. But i understand why. She was attacking faster than me because the haste samba.

"Iam absolute sure, i was using high delay daggers. She could win the parse without problems"

i was using atmas RR/GH/alpha and omega. She was using RR/GH/Apoc.

I did win for a short margin the parse. Iam sure if we dont take serious. What are the best combos for thief right now and we dont make comparations and maths. The dancers will be a rival very serious to defeat.

Feet - Homam Gambieras / Usually i use the ballarines. For get 26% haste. I was reading we need 26% haste for true get the 25% haste.

I have 26% haste for get the true 25% cap. and - 11% Dual Wield reduction from the body and the Ammo. Even with this i haved problems for keep up -_-. (Yes i was using solo SA and TA. When i haved the chance) Atmas i repeat RR/GH/Alpha and omega.

She was using.

She can cap the haste without problems. But she have 18% DW reduction haxs -_- again i repeat she was using RR/GH/Apoc

So really guys. After this exp iam @#%^ing scared from the competent DD dancers.

When soloing (which I find I end up doing a lot even in groups), I have been using Flame Kila/Triplus mostly. This is mostly for one reason. I have discovered that when I use rapidus to solo I always (~90%) have at least 1 TP move used on me on most mobs. Making the switch to triplus lowered that rate down to ~5-10%.
