8 Hours...

8 hours of farming for THF feet in Attowa Chasm Saturday night. 8 HOURS

Saw 2x whm, 2x war, 2x blm, 1x rdm. 3x Mnk... No THF..

Granted it was only 3-4 of us farming Cockatrice, but man.. I'm amazed at my bad luck with these feet.

Total I've spent about 20 hours total Farming for these. It's driving me nuts.

When you got yours, How many people did you take? How many Amber lights did you get?
What mobs did you target? Any info here would help me out before i shelf THF again.

Thanks guys :)

Now what moron decided to rate me down for asking for advice farming THF feet?

Is the THF forum not a suitable place to ask THF questions?

It's likely because it came off as sounding a bit too much on the complaining side and some people just don't like that. In general when it comes to farming gold chests for feet, you want to have about 10-15 amber lights. Back when they first came out, some people thought that capping out amber was the way to go, but that in all honesty is a bad route to choose.

I actually picked up my Thf feet just from doing Fell Cleave burns on the Murrain Chigoes while working towards completing pop sets for Itzpapalotl (Tunga's key item being the only KI for that set that you can't get from a gold chest) and that was with no amber at all. Capped azure and capped pearlescent, but no amber whatsoever.

In all honesty, given that you saw 10 other feet drop, you were on the right track as far as getting Thf, but you were just unlucky on it, that's all. After you cap out your pearl and get the appropriate level of amber, there's really nothing you can do other than hope for the best, cause it's really just up to luck.

Ok, thank you for the reply.

Yeah I figured Capped Amber was a no-no. I've been fairly lucky with all my other feet usually getting them in a couple hours. But **** these feet continue to elude me. Thanks again.

It could be worse, mine took a grand total of 63 hours. Not including all the times my friend logged me on to try and get them. (For all I know he half assed it or did no amber/capped amber)

That being said, it got better for me once I started thinking of it as farming Itzpapapotl for twashtar and my thf head (The first three kills anyway lol). THF feet just really seem the rarest. My group has only ever seen one, and we still burn in attohwa alot for itza.
