Ice resist gear wanted for thfFollow

Currently I am duoing Jormy for fun (the old one). Took him down to 6%HP. So not good enough yet. I am looking for better ice resist gears.

Current setup:
Ring1 "Malfrost Ring"
Head "Rokugo Hachimaki"
Neck "Jeweled Collar"
Body "Feral Jerkin"
Hands "Feral Gloves"
Back "Ram Mantle" (need Ram Mantle+1)
Waist "Fire Belt"
Legs "Feral Trousers"
Feet "Tactician Magician's Pigaches"
Ear1 "Flame Earring"
Ear2 "Flame Earring"
Ring2 "Diamond Ring" (need HQ version)

Aside from HQ items, are there any new abysea items with high ice resist I am overlooking?
With barspell I am sitting at 254 ice resist. I think I need around 275/300 ice resist. Thanks for the help.

What are you duoing with, just whm? Might want to see if capped MDT beats ice resist build as you wouldn't have carol on top of barspell.

Yes I duo with a whm/rdm. Next time we will try as whm/sch for the extra Enhancing Magic skill. I was getting hit for 0 a lot when jorm was flying. But blizzaga 3 still landed often enough. So I think I am on the right track. I just need to push the ice resist numbers a bit more.

I dont think whm/sch will work. In order to dispel on whm/sch you have to use Dark Arts and Addendum: Black. Which is rather annoying to do and not to mention slow.

Yes, /RDM would be the ideal for that fight just for Dispel. It became a perfectly viable sub for WHM after 82 anyway, so that's not much of a problem.

I would look into what Noodles said and try to cap your MDT first. If it's Blizzaga mainly that's causing you problems, capped MDT would consistently lower the damage it does.

Keep in mind that your base elemental resists are way higher at 90 compared to 75 (this isn't displayed in your equip screen), so the resistance values that would be ideal at 75 no longer apply.

Improvements I can think of are (disregarding +1 earrings/rings):

Ammo: Ice satchet.
feet: bowman's led. (lol)
hand: Rogue's armlets
body: blue cortehard. +1
and if you really want to eek out extra ice resist:

numinous shield.

So to your question: The only item from abyssea with ice resist I know of is the ice satchet. Gl on jorm.

Good call on the Rogue's armlets. I never thought of that. Snow satchet I tossed at least 4 times grrrrrrrr.

Next run I will add MDT into my build. Thanks for the input.

I think the augment diamond rings from gold chests can have extra ice resist. Worth farming if you want a free +7 int ring anyway.

Yeah i've seen pretty high resist nunmbers on those rings, too.

Definitely -MDT set instead of an ice resist build (ice resist where you can fit it in, of course). I'd also stick to WHM/SCH as apposed to /RDM or any other sub.

What exactly killed you at 6%? That information would help a lot in analyzing your situation.

At 6% HP my whm died from a back to back hate reset on myself (thf). When I took hate back it was too late.

I tried again, one day before the servers shut down. I made some gear swaps and it went better. Took jormy down to 9%. Then weird draw-in spam started to kick in. I could not get my positioning right anymore. Jormy would draw me in for no apparent reason. I would move to my fight position (hallway) which used to be safe but jormy would just draw me in. Which he did not do at the start of the fight. Before I knew it we had 3 adds. Adds + terror + hate reset + buff reset = wipe at 3%HP.

It was weird. Draw-in distance is suppose to be the same during the whole fight.
