I am thinking about dropping my dex kila (unfinished)Follow

So, I have various daggers in assorted stages of completion for trial of the magians, none near complete yet (Closest I think is a fire kila on the vermin stage with about 175 more vermin). My dex dagger is only d34 with +4 DEX +8 acc, but I am thinking of dropping it for a stp fusseto due to 1) easier trials, and 2) +15 sTP will see some use, whereas +15 acc is getting less and less useful with all the crazy abyssea bonuses. (I am aware that there is potentially life outside of abyssea forthcoming with 9 additional levels of content hopefully being added at a later date, but who knows what form that will take.)

What do you guys think, should I still try to finish my dex kila, or toss it. There is also the possibility of getting a Rapidus Sax and a Triplus dagger soon, already have the pop for Isebind, so I would use that maybe.

I wouldnt toss it since it has situational use now and 'potential' non-abyssea future use. At least keep it in its current stage rather than throw it away. There are still thf based mobs/NMs with obscene eva where I use dex kila+rapidus for raw acc. When I DD I either go with Str+dex or str+rapidus. Tanking stuff that isnt easy peasy, i generally go with Agi+Str.

If you are looking for a second dagger to pair with a str magian main, I would just go rapidus and forget STP. Its 100% drop anyway, has virtually identical DPS to the lv 90 STP dagger, and I think the delay/haste/acc counters the STP rather nicely when taken as a package for overall TP gain. Besides, the NM drops thf leg+2 items and dagger is 100% drop. 2 birds with 1 stone and way better than spamming WS for days to finish yet another dagger.

I wouldn't say that the trials for fusetto are easier, in fact they are about a billion times more time consuming than kill x mobs in x weather. It took me twice as long to finish the first STP fusetto as it did to make an agi/eva kila+2 for my DNC. I ended up tossing it because the prospect of doing another 800 WSs to +1 it made me feel like crying. It's really just not worth the effort imo. You may not need the acc now with whatever atma/abyssites you have, but they're done introducing more abyssea zones and we still have 9 lvls to go before the cap is finished going up. There could potentially be something outside of abyssea that you'll need the acc for and then you'll be kicking yourself for tossing it and having to start over from the beginning.

If you're looking for something good and easy to obtain in the mean time while all your various magian daggers are coming together and you don't have time or the means to kill any of the NMs that drop some of the better daggers, i would suggest spamming the dominion NPC in grauberg for augmented yataghans. I got one for my COR the other day with DMG+8 (making it equal in base dmg to kila+2s) and crit dmg+6%. Sure there are better daggers than that around, but it'll tide you over until you finish building them, and it took me all of 5 mins and 10k dominion credits to get that.

Fusetto is much easier for a casual player but you can potentially finish elemental kila faster, yes.

To answer the op, no don't toss it. I had my dex kila at the golem trial for a couple of months before I decided to actually finish it. At the most just cancel the trial or finish your current trial and don't sign up for a new one.

For the STP Fusetto, I absolutely love mine. The +2 did take awhile, but it is a cakewalk. You just have to take a break from it often or you'll go crazy. I off-hand it to my dex/acc dagger right now while I work on the str/atk dagger (flans >.<). I do play on dnc tho so I really notice the tp difference.

Hang on to that dex kila tho. Abyssea is the be-all now, but for new challenges that could be added outside, you just might want that acc...

Rapidus Sax works as an Acc dagger now if you need one anyway, Kila+2 may have better DPS and more Acc, but Rapidus is still a great offhand. Would say don't rush to finish it now, but definitely worth keeping, i'll destroy rapidus at 99 most likely, and if it does, and if they release new stuff outside abyssea, then you'll be glad you have it.

Like others have said, I wouldn't chuck it. If your reasoning for chucking it is so you can pick up a new 5th trial (fusetto) then I'd complete one of the ones you've started first, or at least finish a current trial. You can be working on 100weapons if you want, as long as you only have 5 open trials.
Taking a break.

I'm actually in a similar situation... I actually just started re-working on my DEX kila after a couple of months off (40 stupid golems to go for this stage... killing about 60-70/day with the wife's help in Abyssea). I don't think it will see a ton of use right away... mostly just outside Abyssea if anything, but hopefully it will get boosted with future updates. I really wish I had started the EVA ones though... my AGI is lacking in Abyssea to start with, and the amount of tanking I end up doing now would really benifit from the EVA path. I'll probably work on them with the wife when she starts that path for her DNC.

With no access to Twilight right now, what are standard options? I was using Auric/Rapidus, but recently shifted to a D+5 Crit damage +4% augmented Yatagan(sp) as I find with RR the extra damage is noticable (both on regular attacks and WS). Are there any other major/easy to get upgrades? Seen a few people with Augr dagger or whatever that D46 one is... how does it stack up?

Someday soon my friends, this ride will come to and end, and we can't just get in line again.

I have actually lucked into both an Angr Harpe and a Triplus dagger, so I am using those while I slowly work on my 1 flame kila. I may or may not do some AGI kilas in the future, I am finding I haven't had many problems evasion tanking without them. I do see where +49 evasion would help though, I am just not fighting that stuff at the moment.

Angr Harpe is really easy to get actually, drops from Awahondo (Diremite NM in Uleguerand).

I recommend finishing up the golem trial in Ro'Maeve behind the moon gates during thunder weather.

The AGI daggers are IMO the easiest of the weather-related weapons to finish. (I'm a sick ******* having done STR, DEX and AGIx2 daggers and STR and DEX swords.) Wind-weather is just so prevalent. Just remember that in some zones (eg Thickets, Woodlands) it is seasonal. When you use your magian spectacles and you don't see wind in the forecast for the next three days, don't bother waiting for weather in zones like that. Check again in 1-2 RL days to see if the season has changed. (Each season lasts approx 3.5 RL days.) I think the windy season in Thickets/Woodlands is summer or fall.

The DNC forum has a nice thread on campsites for the various dagger trials:
