This might be off topic but THF related...

There's no THF-like job in FF14?

I see classes with sword, lance, bow, fist, etc... but no classes uses dagger!

Thief, Rogue type character should be in every RPG.

Hoping there's THF classe not released yet...

You can make a THF-like job out of Lancer or Pugilist but you'll be using H2H or Polearm. There are no specialized classes, just "general" ones which you customize.

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

They gave SATA to other jobs like Pugilist and Lancer, Steal to Pugilist and a TH like ability to the Smiths, safe to say it's almost impossible for THF to exist in FFXIV *as we know it*

So yeah, the job that can't use any "THF like" abilities is the only one that can equip dagger it seems.

Eliminating THF from the game saves them the trouble of having to **** on it every update I suppose.

So they intentionally spread all of our minor abilities to multiple classes. Smith for TH that's pretty weird.

I suppose if the rumored "Assassin" class have burst damage from behind that's the closest to a FFXI thf.

Maybe the thf class mechanism in FFXI create so much trouble or so hard to balance that they don't want to deal with it?

The jobs definitely aren't laid out like a traditional final fantasy. But give something a bow and you pretty much have a token rng. Give it a great axe and its a token war, sword and shield and a token pld, fists and a token mnk, pole and a token drg. At least that seems the case to me. Meanwhile they've fused whm & blm into one it looks like and the other hybrid mage is something like a rdm, drk, and blm all in one--perhaps most like rdm. But IMO thief is a staple job of the series, and in fantasy in general; it doesn't feel right o have an FF and not have a chocobo. To a lesser extent it feels odd not having a single job that feels like thf.

If ever there was proof that SE hates THF then this is it.
