(This also secretly makes me happy because mirthra will have a more distinct advantage as thfs again for spam WS. The str and chr of other races kept mithra from jumping ahead on dancing edge to be honest. SB....ill be quiet. But if evis becomes our primary WS after all this....GO MITHRA! :P)

I understand what you are saying banalaty and I agree with you when it comes to thief. Most thieves have very low attack and I see mobs becoming stronger and more defensive.
If you noticed the stats on new gear and traits, you will see that SE is preparing us to get over our low attack by increasing critical hits and critical hit dmg. Evisceration will only get stronger.
The other WS I find it funny that they will be upgraded. There's 2 ways that they might be useful.
1. SE really beefs them up that they are worthy trying out at endgame.
2. SE allows you to do the trial of the magians on those WS before you hit 75. That way you can rip the benefits as you ding into them.

Just curious, but who has to kill dragons? And puks are considered dragons so if its family and not a specific mob, its really friggin easy actually. I had to kill puks specifically for a lance trial on drg. Cake.

I'm really feelin' like we could be entering the Age of Eviscerate. I'm gonna have to agree, all signs are pointing towards epicness. So we've done enough testing to conclude X's crit bonus to be around either +10% crit dmg, or +0.3pDif. Let's hope we can get down the correct information regarding the new trait/gear :3, cuz it's definitely going to be need-to-know.
Looks like we will have to revisit that old Evis crit rate test.

This will be fun re-examining stacked vs unstacked, DE vs Evis, and it will breath a little more life into sharkbite as well. Overall, our weaker WS are going to get the most oomph. Even before this patch, I have been doing some excel stuff to determine how useful +crit damage mods are for Evisceration vs. DE, and I basically came to the conclusion that if you pDif is low (1.000 or lower) evisceration should average about the same as DE without any crit damage bonus. @ ~1.5 cRatio, you need about 10-12% crit to beat DE on a regular basis. If you are at 2.0 cRatio, you should just keep using DE, unless you want to go for those full crit, beautiful Eviscerations.
From the other thread, it is looking like a 5% damage boost to crits on the preliminary testing on level 0 mobs. Still have to rule out also getting a pDif bonus too though.
Edit: Caveat -- This is if you have capped crit rate on WS.

Yeah, it is an augment tied to the dagger itself. So you can't do the trials with the dagger and then use different daggers and still have +10% damage to Evisceration.
Really? I mean really? Is there a use for this as an off hand dagger when you are only going to use Evis maybe? Or is it just a waste of time?

Was that 10-12% a base crit rate? ie base crit rate with merits is 9%. With dex gear 10-12 shouldnt be hard at all (in good dex gear you can cap on exp mobs and then some), and that ignores the ~10ish estimated from the Evis crit rate test thread (NEED MOAR TESTS!). Or did you mean +10-12% from dex?
I ran some numbers on that years ago, but totally forgot what rate was needed to pass up DE.
