and for the 2nd time in doing assaults i was questioned about going THF to lebros cavern excavation duty and while i do not have a parser most all of my WSs were higher than both the drks except the occasional few where i missed a hit or 2(used evisceration to boot).

im sick of the thf cant dd crap, its really annoying. its 2009 you nubs

bah i didnt get to go THF/RNG but I got my Mirke with +10 acc and dual wield +3. jobs we had dictated i go PLD and it worked out great!

Don't need to stack Racc on the Seed . I hit it as SAM/RNG with 200 skill eating sushi with ~30 racc and the rest Rattack gear. Only had a Hope Torque for skill and no merits too, the thing is about as evasive as well... a rock.

the one I tried with meat worked fine too, except I died from doing too much damage :x


And as an accomplishment... got 73 Thief last night, bought Dragon Harness, and got my Dagger combo to carry me through until I get blau/sirocco. Woot.

Well with a Culverin which gives -racc and Slug Shot which in an inaccurate WS to begin with I wanted to be safe but I couldn't find any Cannon shells so I went PLD. zerging that thing is hard(0-3 zerg, 1-1 PLD ranged set up)

Finally capped my category1 merits. 5 SA, 5 triple attack. Really been slacking with capping the SA ones.

This is not an accomplishment on my thief but I'd like to keep it on this forum since I first mentioned it a couple of weeks ago. It was about my shell's luck with homam body.

We have had the shell for a long time and the worst luck on everything. We finally got the linkshell working flawlessly on every boss. Ultima was killing us. Our homam body drop rate was piss poor.

So, we just did another omega run and now we are 3/5 on homam body since we started spaming boss runs about 1.5 months ago.

Remember about 8 months ago, I dinged 100 bonecraft, after making three gavial mask+1s while skilling up, including two in a row, and Deadgye - iirc - said all my crafting luck was used up? I think he was right. I've lost count of my HQ Heca Mitts attempts, but I just tier0'd a grass cloth!

/depressed.

I have a noteworthy accomplishment to ring in. This past Sunday I spent the majority of the day working on my ACP 11 fight after having done it only twice before, once wiith a linkshell group and once with a pickup shout group. After joining another random pickup with people that didn't know what they were doing I decided to take matters into my own hands and organize my own group with people I KNEW I could trust. I chose to go in and straight up zerg the damn crystal, and after buffs were handed out we went in and beat it down into oblivion.

0/1 linkshell group organized by another
0/2 random pickup shout group (not surprised with this at all)
1/1 victory with my own group of friends in the style I enjoy most, a no holds barred zerg.

I also filmed the fight with fraps, and from the point of preparations to engaging and killing was about 4 minutes. This is perfect because it gave me an excuse to finally buy a certain music disk that I've been wanting for a long time, and it just arrived in the mail an hour ago. I have work soon so I'll have to finish editing and uploading it when I get home tonight, but when I do I'll host it on youtube for you guys to enjoy. It's looking pretty epic already.


Also I'm going to add that last week I finally got my swordbreaker, but my runic disk is only at level 25. I'm going to get that to 100 in the coming few weeks and open up Mandalic Stab. I'm curious to see what kind of potential it has on higher level targets in my builds with my x's/blau combo... especially now that I have Mirke Wardecors. If it has enough power it could open up new possibilities for me to use /nin at some (not all) events that I may consider /war at now. Melee DoT per strike on many high level targets is already insignificant no matter what you do, and x's/blau is very powerful and with pizza/meat should still hit for >>> 0 on most things (and I have many options to raise gear attack in melee to see to it this ends up being the case), but doing so sacrifices attack in ws and solo crits. Mandalic stab is a super berserk (and x's/blau needs no explanation) while still maintaining the utility of utsusemi and subtle blow. I wanna toy with it on a few things, starting with lesser lolsky nms to gauge its use for my own character. Even if that doesn't work out it will still prove useful on stuff like chariots in salvage and etc. We'll see how that goes.

Heca for SA, War Brais+1 for TA, don't bother with flee macro 'cos of -5 inv for AF, but basically, you're doing it right.

Semi-Thf accomplishment.

I have a 6man salvage group and im the resident Thf for. We have been doing Zha remnants lately (frog NM place) and last night we finally beat all 35 dropping frogs (5th/6th floor NMs) AND beat chariot for what is functinally a full clear of that zone for drops with a 6 man run. It was EPIC. People said we were wasting our time, it couldnt be done. But now we DID it! And hope to repeat this feat in the future as it will cut down the time we have to stay in this zone if we can farm+boss regularly by a TON.

So got my Ares feet 35 for drg (ares feet MINE this morning!) during an epic run of 5th/6th floor NM+ chariot WIN on Thf! Gogo Thf and Drg accomplishment! Happy Mithra!

On AF to keep/or not

Yes same boat on AF. I SA in heca, TA in war brais, but i do have my boots for flee.

Head: Keep around for steal +2.
Body: tossed ages ago
Hands: Upgraded to +1 for TA uberness
Legs: Tossed when i got Relic (5steal over AFs 1) and war brais+1 for TA.
Feet: keep for flee.

So basically i have head and feet still around for their uses and upgraded hands. Tossed everything else instead of re-questing and storing and always taking it in/out for Flee duration and steal gear.

I was more excited about getting TH4 than I Was about Love Torque or even Alkaraups (Sold for 8M).

It may be placebo +1 but it means I might actually be allowed to come Thf to events now, and that's the best thing!

Um, getting ridiculous now? Of those 2 cursed subligaria -1 I made two Fridays ago I already sold one for 15 million gil, with more than one (or two) people interested in my second but from across other servers. Three days ago I went 0/3 on cursed leggings and 1/3 on cursed gloves -1 (already sold those hands >.>), sold the nqs and bought 6 more angel skins today. Again 0/3 on feet but also 0/3 on hands (none broke though *phew*). The feet have been annoying me because it's one item I never hq'd but I never tried much because I used to want to know it was tier 1 since the sub craft cap was never discovered.

Melph, what is your TOTAL heca look like? I have been tracking mine since my 1st heca attempt, and looking at my numbers, its a bit disheartening.

Between Legs/Hands/Feet (all T1) totals break down to:
139 Total T1 synths.
NQ=107 (81.68%)
Breaks=16 (12.21%)
HQ=9 (6.87%)

100+3+3+Furnishing BC, 60+1 leather.

More specific,
Hands: 53 synths. 6 Breaks. 5 HQs.

Are you really just that sickeningly lucky? Am I just that crafting challenged? Or have you really done like 500 hands/feet/legs and we just hear about your streaks?

Whereas Melph is HQing seemingly almost everything she touches, I just lost another Angel Skin trying for my HQ gloves (still!). So I'm up to 5? crit fails I think. Lost count of how many attempts now, and no HQs.

I don't actually feel too bad tbh. After my last crit fail I said to myself "if I crit fail again, I'm calling quits on this synth, and I'll just save my money and buy it when I can". So that's what I'm gonna do. Yeah, I'm pretty bummed out, but hey, sh*t happens. I had some money to gamble with, nothing left to buy I need, so I figured "why not?", and I lost - some win big, as Melphina has, and some poor suckers keep the casino profitable.

If you need me, I'll be sat by the doors, with the brown paper bag and empty cup. Spare some change?
