Evasion/parry/shield :: World of Warcraft

Does anyone know how these skills work?

Can if i have a shield can i evade/parry/shield?

Does evade not work when you have a shield?

Really i want to know if there's a reason my theif should not use a sheild? I would get extra defense and a slight chance to block attacks as well. Can anyone see a disadvantage to this?

With both a weapon and Shield equipped, you give yourself a chance to Parry with your Weapon, Block with your shield, AND evade the attack with your fancy footwork and AGI =) So effectively you have 3 chances of dodging the attack whenusing a shield. This is kind of a classic FF thing, especially useful on the Playstation in Final Fantasy Tactics.

Dunno if there are any parry restricted weapon, nor do I know if Dual wield equals double the chance to parry. Only time will tell that =)
