I was just in Abyssea-Konschtat, killing Khalamari, I was on DNC duo tanking with a NIN. NIN gets 1-shoted by a poorly timed Mantle Pierce, and I assume solo tanking. NIN gets raised then proceeds to 2-hr to lose the weakness state after another raise. This got me to thinking about a possible JA that they could give to WHM at 99 perhaps sooner?
JA - What ever you want to call it Holy Might or something
Recast - 15 or 20 mins
Description - Instant cast raise. No exp lost, No Weakness State upon Revival.
I don't think it would be too over powered with at 15 or 20 min recast and it sure would be nice for that badly timed death in certain events.

I think ditching Weakness is something we've been dreaming about for a long time =)
I suspect that by the time all is said and done, we'll get a weakness-reducing or -eliminating raise. Whether in the form of "Raise VI" or a JA/trait like "Divine Caress" I'm really not sure. Either way I imagine it will be restricted to high level white mages, as one of those "Look how we can heal the best compared to those other jobs" tricks to hang your Cleric's Cap on. With that in mind, almost no point in submitting it to the feedback section, I'm sure The Powers That Be have already decided if that's something they'll give us and will do so when they feel like it. =/

I've always dreamed of getting the Arise spell in this game, something that would get people up without weakness or offer some other sort of notable benefit (and no, I don't consider 100% EXP return a notable benefit)
I seem to recall SE stating that they're going to make the game more like the last Shantotto Battle. Massive HP/MP and faster fights and less long and drawn out. If recollection is spot on, we should be seeing a reraise that grants no weakness and no exp loss in the near future.
If anything, they will probably just give us access to Reviviscence. Right now Ferreous Coffin is the only character that casts it, but it removes weakness from the target. I think it would be a fantastic idea to give WHMs access to this ability. Super-high recast would be fine, because as you said, it would primarily be for those moments when a nasty chain of events leads to the tank going down. They still have to rebuild their enmity from scratch so it wouldn't be overpowered.
