There will be cases to use both I'm sure, but I think most of the time I will be sticking to Penury Curagabombs out of habit unless there is a good reason not to (assuming the entire frontline is taking damage; if it's just one person it would obviously be used for Cure 5/6 instead)

Also, Aquaveil may be more useful now than you may be giving it credit for; it now gives guaranteed protection against interruptions from physical attacks. Only a limited number of times, but still, it has potential useful applications.

Personally, I'm mostly indifferent; I very rarely join alliances, and in the rare cases I do, the other parties usually have their own mages to take care of them.

Actually, what about an Accession + Cure V on your own party instead of a Curaga IV or Benediction? I'm thinking along the lines of that being massively less hate than an actual curaga or bene, which would potentially get you killed in some situations.

Acession Protect/Shell V-ga on outside parties. It removes the slight inconvenience of having to swap parties (Unless they really need merited shell).

Well.. ever sinse esuna came out, I've found myself standing in the middle of my parties almost 100% of the time. Esuna has a nasty recast time, so I usually save my strats for alicrity esuna, or penury cureV.

With accention thrown into the mix, it really depends. If a ninja is tanking, aquaveil might seem like a good idea, however stoneskin might serve the same purpose, but also stop damage. So I can't think of a situation I would cast aquaveil over stoneskin. Maybe if the mob hit hard enough to break a stoneskin in 1~2 hits.

I can't even see myself accensioning regen. I try to be as MP efficient as I can, not casting higher regen tiers than necessary. Maybe if I was sitting on 2 charges.

Accension erase will be nice when esuna is down.

I'll only use it on the tank then. Should I happen to be subbing rdm.

Accession Shell V and Accession Protect V will keep me from getting hit by Odin's annoying aoe crap when he uses that dispelga move on my melee party.

Accession Stoneskin on the melee party should be nice when you know an Astral flow or some other aoe dmg is coming, or has a high chance of occuring.

Accession Regen III... mmmm... maybe.

Accession status-effect on your own party or outside party should be nice, especially for outside party (and for status ailments like silence or petrify, where Esuna obviously doesn't work).
