Since WHM/SCH seems to be the way to go these days, I was thinking...

If a WAR/WHM is a ghetto PLD, would a WHM/BLM be a ghetto RDM?

Side note: Haven't seen too many WAR/WHMs lately, but I've been exping with A LOT of WARs with sword and shield lol

Ahhh, that term makes me nostalgic for Wookie and Quor waaaayyyy back when.

And I still love WHM/BLM for transportation/ENMs. See, I'm the fastest person in our group to climb Ule Range. I can't tell you how many times that meant I've made it behind the Ice Wall while the weather was clear, then saw the weather change. Tractor + RIII has saved me literally hours of play time.

Of course, I don't recommend WHM/BLM anywhere else really at 75. Just sayin'.

Although I consider WHM/sch far superior in performance, I spend most of my time on WHM/blm these days. Why? Because I'm mostly a casual player now, who runs around doing minor quests, crafting, farming, and some lightweight activities. WHM/blm is possibly the best inter-zone traveling combo in the game.

Mobility is much more important than optimum performance for me, under normal circumstances. As a result, if I get the occasional help request from a friend who just popped some NM and needs me ASAP, that's what I'll likely end up coming as, unless they're willing to burn a few moments for me to change subjob.

Or if they just need some casual assistance, in which case changing subjob isn't worth the bother (by casual, I mean the sort of "15 second fight, come naked if you want" that seems to be in a lot of storyline quests nowadays). It's only when I know I have something high-intensity coming up that I set /sch.

I prefer free warps opposed to all of those other such warps you have to pay gil/CP/tabs for though, especially in the case of tabs because they get used up rather quickly when I do my part to lower the Igqira Weskit population...

As stated, don't need /SCH for everything. I take out /RDM for avatar fights, /NIN for dual wield lulz, etc. already so if I know it's going to be something simple I have no qualms with taking /BLM for a free warp home afterward.

I just find it funny that you compare a whm subbing blm to a drg subbing mnk.

WHM/BLM still offers the same benefits as it did before SCH came around, of course for most cenarios WHM/SCH offers more and awesome benefits, specially if you are main healing an EXP or merit PT or NM/Boss fights, dynamis etc.

Yes, WHM/BLM is still as good as it was before WotG but subbing SCH offers awesome stuff, 100% agree on that.

Just to make sure, I love my WHM/SCH but still, scholar is not the only sub you can use, a WHM/BLM can still cure, do enfeebles, cure negativ status...

Just my 2 cents.
