Divine Seal + Cure V EnmityFollow

I was looking over Kanican's Journal again and had a question that I thought best answered by the WHM community. Obviously Divine Seal + Cure IV, or the lower tier cures, essentialy doubles the enmity that cure would ordinarily produce because the enmity of those cures is directly related to the HP restored. However, since Cure V has a static quantity of enmity produced (400CE and 700VE), does that meant that a Divine Seal + Cure V would be the same enmity as a regular Cure V (ignoring the 80VE enmity the job ability itself produces)? Any input is appreciated.

Honestly, I don't know for sure. I'm pretty confident that it would still be capped at the static enmity of a single Cure V still.

I can't remember the last time I used DS to enhance a cure...

Complete anecdata here, but the few times I've used it, it feels like it doubled the emnity gained. I know it turned hate off a voke once, very early in a fight versus an Incinerate-happy Eruca. Couple other times, my hate line felt higher than it should be.

Have I taken the time to test it? Nope. To second Filian, I think I've use DS CV maybe 5 times ever. Not because it's not shiny, but the number of times I need to cure 1600+ hp omgnao have been very few...

I've done it a couple times for fun in besieged. Was lightsday with korin obi, yellow HP for medicine ring, on a very low HP mithra MNK with giant's drink up.

Other than that, I often don't utilize a full Cure V anyway.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I should mention the reason for my question is in order to achieve a capped cureskin, a DS + Cure V would be neccessary. I'm just concerned about throwing down a curebomb like that for nothing more than stoneskin if it's going to generate a lot of enmity. More idle thought than anything...

Huh. Hadn't really thought about that. But... 1600hp cure V is only a 400ish Stoneskin. Every 10 minutes. Maybe if I'm in a heavy-damage situation and I'm not going to need DS for anything else. I'd rather hope that a SCH, SMN, or BLU are available to spam Stoneskinja/Earthen Ward/Diamondhide.

I doubt it's absolutely required; 1200 Cure 5 can probably be reached in Temenos.

I have no idea, but I use Solace + DS + Cure V all the time in Campaign, since Allied NPCs can easily soak up that much every few minutes.

I actually use Div Seal Cure V on a fairly often basis when i campaign. Typically i'll pair it with a Penury as well, so i get roughly a 1600 Hp cure for 70ish Mp

I have yet* to pull hate with that. However once that NPC dies thats tanking the Mob, i get a Bright Red Target Plastered on my forehead.

On that note; I think Temenos is the one place you'd want to have a potent Cureskin.
Dropping a Cure V on your tank before a citadel buster is pretty neat :3

Since Cure V is a static enmity gain both in CE and VE, it does not depend of the amount of HP cured. So, no, you don't get any increase in enmity by augmenting its potency, with DS, cure potency gear, or whatever.

Technically you gain the Enmity value from using the ja Divine Seal, but it is negligeable in front of the value of Cure V.
