Only non-straight is a transwoman that likes girls in our guild. I can't speak for Horde, but Proudmoore on Alliance is pretty much an average server, with only a little bit more "LGBT friendly" copypaste in the trade channel ads.

Wow, really? That's disappointing to me, and makes me glad I'm Horde. Proudmoore has the reputation of being "the official gay server" so it seems weird to me that the more highly populated faction isn't really that gay. Nothing against the normals of course, it's just nice to know that the community exists. Gay people are way more accepting of me being kinky and poly (and being bisexual too of course). In previous guilds/servers I just didn't talk about it openly.

They needed more Darth Maul in the movies, but Darth Maul was overused in the Expanded Universe. Apparently, he survived being bisected and dumped into a reactor vent, because he returns later on:

I didn't hate how they used Maul anywhere close to as much as I hated how they used Sidious. Or Skywalker, for that matter.

But, really, I don't like most of the EU around the time of the movies. I'm a fan of the Old Republic period.

If it makes you feel better, Obi-Wan does finally kill him on Tatooine. In front of Luke. With a lightsaber.

IIRC, Maul was targeting Luke as a way to punish Obi-Wan, and this began Luke's dreams of becoming a Jedi.

Or some other bullsh*t retconny thing. IDK.

To elaborate on the EU old/new stuff.

What they did with the plot after the Battle of Endor was just terrible. Luke essentially ends up becoming Darth Vader 2.0, and his own son is the one to bring him back. Han and Leia's son becomes a Sith Lord. Luke creates a new Jedi Order but tosses out the "don't have families" rule which, SHOCKINGLY, becomes a serious issue.

Etc.

It's really just bad. Very, very bad.

But you go to the Old Republic area, and it's much more interesting, imo.

Surprisingly, I know what Digg is talking about. I try to stay away from Expanded Universes normally, but Star Wars is my kryptonite.

It'll be interesting to see where the next movie will take it all.

I am not ignorant because I don't read my school newspaper. It is often little more than a gossip rag combined with a sports page. From what I've gathered from talking to other students, most college newspapers are like that. So Smiley: tongue
