Buzzfeed was pointing out that the Gordon Ramsey show with the kids is great, because he's actually kind to kids and interested in teaching them, so the audience learns something. Smiley: lol

I don't like Ramsey in Masterchef. He's great in the early UK seasons of Kitchen Nightmare though. I really only watch Masterchef Australia because it's so much friendlier and Australian accents are funny.

I think the thing I find funniest about the Australian accent is how quickly they can go from being funny to utterly incomprehensible. You can make out the occasional ****, and that's about it. :P

I've probably seen some 300 episodes of Masterchef Australia now and I don't think I've ever had a moment where they were incomprehensible.

Hey now. You still get meat on a low-carb diet.

Hell, you get MORE meat.

How is that a bad trade-off? Smiley: lol

Garlic bread. I loves me some garlic bread.

I'm of the mindset that the purpose of exercise is so you can eat whatever you want. I tried to diet once, in the sense that my girlfriend-at-the-time was on a diet and I wanted to get laid be supportive. It made me really angry. I threw a chair through a window. I'm Italian, food is important. Do not touch.

Yeah, I'd never try and take food away from an Italian, for the sake of continued living. Unless they were an Italian mother offering me food. Then you take it for the same reason. Smiley: lol

I'm not huge on pasta. Doesn't do much for me. I love me some red sauce and sausage/meatballs, etc., but I'm just as happy scooping it into my mouth without the pasta. More delicious tomato goodness that way. :P

Ha, it has it's place. I love me some spaghetti and meatballs.

But in general, I prefer something that actually has flavor on its own. :P

Ha, my mom wasn't "so bad," but I can only say that because my grandmother would beat basically strangers to bruises with a wooden spoon. Smiley: lol Love her, but I'm also pretty sure she was the source of adult onset diabetes. Ho~ly crap could the woman cook.

She moved back to Italy and is like a hundred-fifty years old.

Oh, and pasta is amazing. Mainly because you can make an infinite number of dishes with it. Toss in some salsa while it cooks.

And one thing I have to give my diet props for is helping me find ways to eat cauliflower that I like. Making mock mashed potatoes with it, it's really yummy.
Chop the cauliflower up finely, boil it in milk (won't take long as the cauliflower is all in little bits), strain it but keep some of the milk then put the auliflower through the blender with some of the milk from boiling and some butter. Tasty, quick and smooth cauliflower puree.

What the... do you drink it? That sounds nasty. Besides, I don't drink milk anymore because of the lactose. Could use almond milk, but that would probably taste funny. I do miss milk. Smiley: glare I also miss pasta, when my boyfriend or roommate cook it. It's funny because pasta is completely unappetizing to me when it is in a box and I have no problem not cooking it. But when someone else has cooked it and I can see/smell it, that's when I have to steal a few bites. Thankfully, I am someone who CAN have just a bite or two of something I love and then stop. I am so, so grateful for that ability.

You don't use all of the milk, just enough to make the puree all ice and creamy.

Yeah, I was 90% sure that was wrong, but I knew the right spelling had an accent and I just don't have time for that. Smiley: lol

It's also French, you can tell by the complicated techniques, Italian cooking is much more focused on (relatively) simple dishes.

It's a lot more slow-cooked goodness.

(There's nothing more of a comfort food in my house than a pot of sauce that's been simmering all day, and we're not even Italian).

Oh yeah, and new Warcraft expansion is Burning Legion - Draenor.

Just thought I should let everyone know that the game might be interesting again. Smiley: lol

I never really cared for the story in WoW with the exception of the trial of the crusader patch because of how soul crushingly bad it was. Hardcore raiding during that patch killed WoW for me, rushing through normal 25 and 10, then heroic 10 (4/5 on alts if PuG) and then normal and heroic 10 and 25 (heroic 4/5) on a main and 2 alts in one or two evenings on the off days from heroic 25 on my hunter.

Couple that with a guild where hunters were the first to be cut from the raid if the officers wanted more of one class for whatever reason and daily queues of 1-2 hours just to log in and WoW just never was the same again.
