I took Zzzquil last night. It didn't work nearly as well as I'd have liked; I still woke up twice during the night. Smiley: glare

I've never been that susceptible to Nyquil, to be honest. Dunno why. But I've barely slept in the past week, and it's becoming a serious problem. In the "Oh, hey, let's not die while driving" way.

Also, I just had three coworkers simultaneously talking at me about help on things that aren't my domain that I somehow got linked to, and it was like instant overload. I kinda want to just go quit now. Smiley: lol

That's one of the nice things about NYC museums. Most of the big ones are publicly funded, so the entrance fee is a suggested donation, only.

You can go to the Met and the Museum of Natural History for free. Special exhibitions might still have ticket prices, but the permanent or long-term exhibits don't.

And MOMA is free on Fridays. So you can go see the Van Gogh exhibit, including Starry Night, for nothing.

You get enough physical activity and such? I can't imagine that comes easy with all those commuting hours...

No such luck here. Even in Paris museums are free or a fraction of the price if you're 25 or younger. Although you can buy a yearly membership for €45 or so that gets you free entry to all museums for a year and students, children under 18 and elderly over 65 all get discounts and stuff.

I might just go on 1 or 2 Februari because those are the only days that their Malevich and Marcel Wanders exhibits overlap and I'd like to see both.

It doesn't. Which is why I spend so much of my free time working out. I have 3 hours free a night, assuming I get home before 6, which isn't always true. I typically spend 1-1.5 hours working out while watching Netflix or something. Then I make dinner and the next day's lunch.

By then I'm typically wiped from the day, and at most I'll do some casual internet browsing. Don't typically even have the energy to play anything. I haven't even played Pokemon, which is DESIGNED to be playable for short bursts.

Do itttttt. I know nothing about either, but if you're a fan, it'll probably be worth it.

Already called my dad since he likes Malevich and design as well so we'll probably go together. Malevich is quite famous for his abstract work, especially his black square (which inspired Rothko among many others) and Marcel Wanders is a fairly big figure in Dutch Design and known best for his knotted chair.

I tried drugs and coffee, neither worked. Finally drank a good amount of water and the headache was gone in 20 minutes. I wish there was some way to know specifically what kind of headache you have. For me it's usually caffeine withdrawal or dehydration but I do get random headaches at times too.

If I get a headache it's usually because I haven't eaten enough or because I haven't slept enough. I don't get caffeine withdrawal headaches anymore since I've reduced my caffeine intake to very little. They're all kind of different sorts of pain though so I can usually tell.

In general, headaches do have pretty particular symptoms by cause.

A stress based headache is going to have pain behind your eyes and stretch around to the back of your neck (though. for me, they're most commonly just the eyes and neck, with maybe my temples).

Dehydration headaches are generally throbbing headaches, and might hurt behind the eyes (but, unlike tension, no particular neck pain).

If it's not one of those, you're only real option is to take a painkiller. Because the chances are it's not a cause you can easily remedy.

The stress ones are the worst, those take a trip to the sauna to get completely rid of. Nothing quite like spending a day naked in very hot and steamy rooms and pools.

More caffeine and more water. You'll spend all day in the bathroom, but headaches will be gone.

Also, you can actually buy the knotted chair for yourself. It costs a mere €3,630.00.

Edit: and if I had the money, I would buy one... I'm not entirely sure why but I find it fascinating and absolutely gorgeous.

Silly Norwegians. They pronounce the 'Æ' wrong. They make it sound like an 'A'.
