gogo Google Doodle! TIL that Yosemite National Park is 123 years old - today!

Well, Yosemite, Happy Birthday! Smiley: cake Smiley: clap

And for your birthday, we are giving you a special present. The park will be closed today and you can have the entire day to yourself, in peace. Go ahead, do whatever you want.

We may even give you more than just one day. It depends upon whether or not we can get a roomful of a-holes to agree. Smiley: disappointed

Ugh, the colors are terrible. What was the point of recruiting the Blood Elves if you weren't going to use their decorators?

Hey, old man, I'm not old like you; references like that are lost on me. Next time, try something like LOST or Castaway or whatever. Anything from after the Cold War.

Smiley: oyvey Old people.

I gave you the link bud. And some references never grow old:

It'd be a lot easier if it weren't for the submarines. Smiley: mad

I think it's quite an achievement that they got that thing into Milan in the first place.

Well the important thing is now everyone is going to buy their life insurance, or whatever it is they're selling.

I'm just glad that it's waaaaay north of where my famiglia resides. Not for their safety, but for plausible deniability.

I'm guessing that the ones responsible for this can expect a bonus rather than a punishment.

I thought the south of Italy was the impoverished, not really industrialised part?

Too much?

You have now piqued my curiosity.

Italy is bankrupt, yo. Good times here in the European Union. Sure glad we joined that nepotistic cesspool back in the days. Giving Germany and France veto over Europe was the best thing to do after World War II, obviously. One tried to conquer the entire world and the other dug itself into a hole upon confronted with the former's agenda. Then came Italy and Greece, one a modern dictatorship and the other a country where people retire at age 50, which is financially feasible, surely.

What I can't wrap my head around is how these financial crises came as a surprise to ******* anyone in Brussels. This has been going on for 20 years and not a single **** was given until it was too late.

Good lord.

Greece and Italy both have some very nice beaches if one is determined to shove their head in the sand?

And at least Greece didn't qualify to join the Euro at all, they were let in because the lovely people in Brussels wanted to make the Euro a big thing.

Just what I thought as I was typing it.

I'm getting my teeth fixed tomorrow. Then I'm getting a digital recorder.

Something like that, but that part of my family tree has vineyards for generations so they do okay. I'd sooner put on a hockey mask and go on a killing spree than live there, but they seem to be okay.

My family is mostly Irish and Scottish.

I'll just let people infer from that what they will.
