In this particular situation it wasn't. It was fun, but it started up a an emotional fight between my roommate and I. We're fine now, but yesterday was not a good day lol.

I'm in a house full of doctors and children, so I can't even accidentally get drunk tonight. Smiley: frown

SWTOR!

I'm not social enough to enjoy parties. I prefer just cooking a nice steak, enjoying a couple of glasses of red wine, a bottle of champagne, some beers and a cigar while watching Peter Sellers's "The Party". Good times.

What is this, a personal add? I suppose you like long walks on the beach too? Smiley: lol

9 minutes to midnight here and I'm home in a quiet house with my wife asleep. Wow, what a difference 30 years makes. We went out to a nice Portuguese restaurant tonight and I had Paelha (no chicken or chourico, only seafood). Delicious meal topped off with a nice Cappuccino.

Happy New Year all!!

Oh ****. I totally missed how in 2014 the taxes on beer (and wine, sherry and port) will be raised with 5.75% here. This is not a good way to start the new year. Smiley: glare

There's a guy with two penises (peni?) doing an AMA over on reddit right now.

While a little off putting, I have to admit it's actually fascinating.

The Man with Two Penises sounds like the sequel to The Man with Two Brains.

Guess it depends on whether it was made before or after Steve Martin stopped being funny. Two Brains was pretty damn funny.

So if you're going to make an omelet, don't drop the carton of eggs.

Turns out almost a dozen eggs splattered all over the kitchen floor takes quite a while to clean up.

Probably good you didn't.

There are two problems with giving your cat raw eggs. The first is the possibility of food poisoning from bacteria like salmonella or E. coli. The second is that a protein in raw egg whites, called avidin, interferes with the absorption of the B vitamin biotin. This can cause skin problems as well as problems with your cat's coat.

Thankfully my cats don't seem to regard anything other than their food as edible.
