Yeah, I'm actually still happy I majored in it. Getting the first job was more difficult, but essentially all the skills that philosophy fosters have been super useful, and will continue to be so.
History? Meh. I think it's useful and important personally, but it doesn't really help me too much in conjunction with philosophy. A lot of the skills are the same, but philosophy cuts out details to focus on the skills themselves. I'm happy I studied it, because I love history, but if I was doing it over, I might have chosen something else for my second major.
On the other hand, I might pursue a PhD in history some day.
