Not sure where you live but to live in Orange County or LA (aka Southern Cali) it's going to be more expensive than your average apartment/home.

Smiley: nod

Redneck, Oregon means cheap rent for Pigtails. Smiley: wink

Really, even ours in inflated because we're surrounded by 3 different parks next to the river and downtown. It wouldn't normally be that high for an apt this size, but hey it's all about location or something.

I have no idea what the square footage is, but my place is 880 a month for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex. That's split up among 3 people. You guys are getting ripped off. Or maybe I'm just lucky. And I still feel like 880 a month rent is expensive.
That's because Oregon is pretty much empty and houses are often built out of wood and drywall.

It's suffering from the lack of attention and hand-me-down culture that stunts the development of most second-born children?

What do you build houses out of?

Brick and mortar mostly, pretty much the same materials that have been used for the past 500 years.

Weird. Smiley: eek

Well it's just weird to think of houses that aren't made out of wood.

What confuses me is that there's freakin hurricanes and whatnot over there and you keep making houses out of wood. A brick wall is going to survive a hell of a lot more abuse than drywall and wood.

We don't get hurricanes up here, just earthquakes; traditional un-reinforced brickwork is really bad for those.

And trees grow like weeds here; you have to do something to keep their population in check or they just take over everything. Smiley: tinfoilhat

Every year we kill the biggest one we can find and put it out on display as an example to all the other trees of what'll happen if they misbehave. We don't stop there, though. Most of us also kill off the smaller ones and display them in our living rooms. I'm pretty sure for the same reason.

Hippies are only marginally better than rednecks though.

You didn't grow up surrounded by them. I'd take hippies any day over rednecks.

Yeah, no, hippies are WAY better than rednecks.

I see at least three trucks with confederate flags for back windshields a day. And what the hell is that about, NJ wasn't even in the confederacy.
