I love camping. My favorite trip is to take a canoe out to the backwoods and paddle from lake to lake.

I barely tolerate camping if it's for festivals and even then only because there's no good alternative. Also Idiggory, clearly you should visit Europe, no dangerous spiders here an the biggest and scariest one we get doesn't like coming inside houses and prefers running away really fast as a way of dealing with any sort of danger over biting or attacking.

Camping is okay, but I don't really have anyone else around who actually enjoys it so I haven't over-nighted anywhere in probably 15 years. Long day hikes with a return to the hotel are fine by me.

Ah, to live in a country where lakes are connected.

Being on an island with zero rivers or anything remotely close to it, our lakes are really just puddles that you swim around in when the ocean gets boring/cold.

Finland is almost next door to you though and they've got lotsa lakes.

Over here we just pray for a long enough period of frost to connect 11 towns in the north of the country with ice so ten thousand people can skate the roughly 200km in some 7-8 hours of racing.

One does not simply travel to Finland.

Speed skating European championship allround in the Vikingskipet in Hamar (Norway). One of the most beautiful skating rinks in the world and Sven Kramer isn't there so there's genuine tension with Norwegians and Dutch fighting for the medals. It's amazing to watch Smiley: inlove

Just got home from my last day as a retail slave! Smiley: grin I got lots of hugs today.

Tomorrow I start the new job at 7am. Hopefully this is the one and only time I will be working a 7am shift. Then I get two days off to readjust my sleep schedule and my first graveyard shift will be on Wednesday. I'm so excited. Going to have to take sleeping pills to get to sleep tonight!

I'm assuming they mean artificial with that because else there'd be things like lakes that freeze up every year with 20+ km trails. Or the Elfstedentocht with ~200km.

Grats! That's super awesome, Pigtails.

I was just playing Hearthfire and the Warlock I was fighting suicided by using his player ability (sac 2 health to draw 1 card). Smiley: lol

I'm not sure specifically. This is a river trail, and is continuous.

In that case I'm 99.99% sure it's incorrect because there are races on the Weizensee (or however the **** you spell it) each year that have laps of ~25km.

Thanks! Didn't take sleeping pills, a glass of merlot sufficed for getting me slightly drunk and helping me fall asleep way earlier than I had meant. Then I woke up at 2:15 and couldn't fall back asleep. Frack.

looking at the website, their longest trail looks like 10 km, although I don't really understand the website very well, so I don't know which trails are referring to which lengths, or if any of them refer to the skating trails.

Might just be for the long distance races then, I can't say I'm all too familiar with them.

If anyone is going to pick up the Hearthstone beta, DON'T decide to take Druid first when they tell you to "pick the deck of your favorite class!" It's a terrible starting deck. The cards themselves are solid, but you don't have any of the minions or spells needed to make them shine, so it just doesn't work. You pretty much have to play this really sad game of turtling and hope that BOTH the opponent's draws suck and that yours are particularly nice (meaning, you get two specific cards early in the game).

The Mage deck you start with (before choosing anything, in the tutorial) seems like a solid place to start. Warlock seems more complicated. The Hunter deck seems to destroy my druid deck in seconds, every time. Warrior gets some really solid cards right out of the gate... though you have to play as Garrosh then.

Priest is particularly interesting to me, so far.

Hunter is UP (got nerfed), Warlock is OP if you go Murlocs, Paladin is solid, Mage is solid.

My favorite is the Warrior, though.
