You probably need lots of calories to survive the frozen wastes up there.

Aeth, we might get some winter on Monday. The weather prophets claim it'll dip below zero up here, anyway.

I bloody well hope so. We're in our 5th month of autumn now and I'm rather sick of it.

Should have taken that vacation to Norway instead of Spain.

If you guys are sick of the LFR pain, then try out doing some flex runs on OpenRaid.us or OpenRaid.eu. Seems to work well and as a rule people doing flex are much more focused than the 50+% of the LFR group who do half the DPS they should, never move from the fire and continually go AFK. A far superior experience.

Mind you, I should probably take my own advice more often as well :)

Barcelona was a nice change with ~17°C and sunny, 3 days wasn't enough though.

Norway is probably more expensive than Barcelona as well, although it is high on my wishlist. But Scotland first in a few months.

As someone who's been to Norway a couple of times, I can give you a quick pros/cons list:

+ Beautiful ladies
+ Beautiful scenery

- No alcohol to be found anywhere during the weekends
- No alcohol to be found anywhere after 6 PM
- A pint at a bar/restaurant costs half your paycheck
- A 20-pack of cigarettes costs more than a pint

So there.

They do have "lefse", though, which is awesome... probably outweighs the cons. Lefse with butter, sugar and cinnamon. Best thing since bacon.

I don't smoke so that's no problem and while expensive as all hell they do have Haandbryggeriet and Nøgne Ø which are awesome enough to warrant the cost.

Food is the best way to entice travel.

Travel is awesome in and of itself. The kids are strapped in their car seats and can't get out; lulled into a daze by the DVD player.

Noise is less bothersome when they're strapped in. You say "I'm sorry, I can't get that for you right now, I'm driving" and go along your merry way. Eventually the screams subside and they go to sleep.

Only another 15 years or so and they won't want to be seen on vacation with you anymore anyway. Smiley: tongue

Smiley: lol

Sometimes I doubt it'll be that long, the oldest is very good at expressing her disapproval already. If I'm lucky I'll get another five.

And then 5 years later they no longer care, because food and rent is expensive and you'll take anything you can get when you're a poor student. Smiley: nod

I'd rather not go on vacation than go on vacation with my dad. Not because of him but because his girlfriend is always there and I can't stand her and they always go camping and I hate camping.

Well, yeah, camping is not my favorite thing either. Vacation with my parents usually means the Alps or the house in Sweden, though, which is tolerable. Smiley: rolleyes

Spiders.

I don't do anything that increases my probability of spiders.

You're an awful lot closer to any sort of dangerous spider than Mazra or either of his mentioned holiday destinations is.

Which is why "anywhere but here" is usually a pretty good plan.
