Why would you be afraid of Thanksgiving?
You have to see relatives, that never goes well. Smiley: frown

Considering the geographic location, I assume its the same reason I don't look too forward to it. Three or four relatives that learned to talk from Joe Pesci movies.

Oh thank god no. Well, one uncle who grew up in Jersey City and is a recovering addict. But I'm used to his insanity. He was, until recently, dating a Mexican woman who couldn't speak English, and he speaks no Spanish. Now he's dating a NEW Mexican woman who can speak English, but everyone in my family doesn't like, apparently (I haven't met her).

I'm mostly just afraid of the sheer amount of food, and the immense peer pressure to eat 5x what your stomach can even hold. Then the inevitable 6 days of leftovers...

Ahh, peer pressure. Try saying you have an upset tummy and only eat a little?

Thanksgiving usually isn't a problem for me in that regard. I'm not a big fan of most of the food that's served, so it's fairly easy to pass on things. The week or two of leftovers work well for sandwiches, and I'm usually feeling lazy in the morning so making one out of whatever is around is an easy morning and a tasty lunch.

No Thanksgiving here and I host the Christmas dinner so it's quality over quantity of food.

There's a good chance I'm going to have to redo a whole lot of work because of someone else's mistake...

This is not cool.

The thread could be about whether or not you should hate them anyway prior to proof. Then of course, if it turns out they didn't cause you more work how should you handle the residual anger.

It would be less irritating if it was at least shocking. But it isn't, because this **** happens way too frequently.

On the bright side though, isn't it better to be the one who fixes the problem then the one who causes it?

Have some cheer: Smiley: flowers

Meh, I don't really have any contact beyond it. And he wouldn't care one way or the other. It's not like I'd deal with the heat from anywhere but the ironic source of the problem.

Whatever. I don't even really care at this point. I'm mostly just annoyed at having to redo a lot of work.
