So, I've decided that grading papers is my least favorite thing in the world.

Only 75 to go.
I remember my dad having to do that non stop for 3 or 4 weeks when he tore something in his leg when I was a kid. He used to be a P.E. teacher so not being able to walk and having to rest meant he couldn't really teach and they had him grading papers. Those weeks were very bad weeks to ask for anything.

Doxycycline? The antibiotics in the tetracycline family are no-dairy antibiotics, and years ago doxycycline was the drug of choice for treatment of acne via oral administration (tetracycline before that). Then there was the topical mixture of clindamycin that had to be prepared by the Pharmacist, which Upjohn eventually woke up to and released as a pre-packaged product.

Turns out, the calcium in the dairy is the problem...

And it turns out, soy and almond both have a fair amount of calcium (and the milk is generally further fortified), so soy/almond milk with my coffee is out. Which I'm not so mad about, because I had soy with my coffee this morning and it was disgusting.

I'm not entirely sure what to eat for breakfast now, though. Smiley: lol I figured I'd do bananas and almonds... But just bananas sounds lacking. I might need to plan to make some protein the night before to eat with breakfast.

Oh, and the doctor warned me the medication might upset my stomach. Good warning, because while getting gas this morning, I was also puking into a plastic bag...

I'll probably just try and get creative with whatever meat I was using for my dinner the night before, but yeah. It's just annoying, because my routine was pretty tight in the mornings. Having to take more time to get breakfast ready wasn't welcome. Smiley: lol

Oatmeal, dash of salt, half teaspoon cinnamon, tablespoon brown sugar, dash of vanilla (not so you taste the vanilla but to enhance the other flavors), and raisins. I like to put the raisins in at the beginning because I like them plumped up (like they are in rice pudding). If you don't like raisins, take a banana that is really ripe, black is best, and smash it up in the oatmeal and mix for excellent banana flavored oatmeal. Or, substitute maple syrup for the brown sugar, drop the cinnamon, add chopped walnuts.

Oatmeal is awesome because you can prepare it ahead of time, even the night before, and it reheats well in the microwave. If it gets really stiff add water (I usually add milk for this, but - no dairy for you!)

I can eat oatmeal every day without a problem. Also, oatmeal = fiber squared = 30 second dumps.

A cup of coffee and a croissant with butter and jam, preferably good strawberry jam. Doesn't get much better than that in the morning.

BACON. Or sausage.

I just checked the carton I have in the fridge. omg, DIGG! Heavy whipping cream. In your coffee. No calcium. It's pretty good stuff, and a little goes a long way. Also, you can make great scrambled eggs with heavy whipping cream too. Can you tell I got excited there?

You weird people and your bread products. Totally unnecessary.

It's obvious that you have never had a good croissant yet.

When did they take the calcium out of heavy cream? Those sneaky devils . . .

Bacon is good. On a roll. Topped with bacon. And if you add some bacon to that you've really got something there.

I dunno, but my Darigold heavy whipping cream has 0% listed. Granted this is per serving. It's entirely possible that there are trace amounts that would show up if you had like, a cup of it. But anyone who can drink a cup of 40% HWC has something seriously wrong with them.

I actually saw a recipe for low carb mozarella sticks the other day. Mozzarella wrapped in bacon and fried. I must try this. Or I could just batter them in grated parmesan cheese. That'd work too. Smiley: grin

Don't get me wrong, I love croissants and pasta and lots of other carbs. That's why I've cheated a couple times a week on this diet. But still, overall I feel better and I'm losing weight without adding extra exercise. The sacrifice is worth it I think.

I had a banana. Hopefully that's sufficient. Because it's 6 am and I don't have the patience for anything else...

Okay, so, a banana is sufficient to not make me nauseous, but not sufficient to avoid stomach discomfort. So I will need to prepare some real food in the mornings. :/

Time is not on my side.
