I have been playing a druid for at least 3 years and I just learned today that I had a way to dispell enrage effects. Had it not been for me switching UIs and going through my spellbook and dragging spells out I may never have.
Guess I should keep looking at see what other gems I've been missing out on.

I think that Aethien is on to something. I actually found a way to increase my damage on my shadow priest rotation because I was drinking heavily and started to mess with my cast order.

I used to drink alot when I tanked. I think the slightly slower reflexes helped me keep my rotation going better cause I put a little more thought into what button I was going to smash next.

I can raid heal as good as the next guy and I get more praise then complaints when tanking but thunder chickens leave me in a state of confusion. I just can't seem to play one remotely close to right.

I really feel like they need to change the duration of cast effects.
Example:
Arcane Blast, the buff makes it do more damage, so once you have a set number of stacks up, you don't want to switch spells and cast something else.
If the buff lasted for 20 seconds you could cast Arcane Missiles or whatever else.

Spam Arcane Blast to stack the cost and output. Switch to something else to break the stack. That's why there are burn and mp5 phases when playing an Arcane Mage. Your burn phase is where you just spam Arcane Blast and take the mana hit for maximum DPS. The mp5 (or hover/idle/whatever) phase is where you alternate between Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles to prevent the buff from stacking too high.
Or so I've heard.

Mages have the most boring rotation I have played. I like my DK's rotation. I just smash whatever button happens to be glowing from a proc as fast as I can. There is probably a more efficient way to play them but the Whack-a-mole style still gets me more dps on him than any other character I have.

I play a feral druid. My twin brother plays a boomkin. We both stare at the other's mechanics in utter confusion, and watching us try to play the other dps spec is like watching an amateur pianist try to use his feet. To play the piano, not to walk.

Well, Arcane Explosion doesn't wipe your stacks, so you can stack the buff to 4 and get a few buffed AEs off.

Patch 4.0.1, on 12 Oct 2010. I didn't catch it at first, either. I just wish it was castable in Feral forms, so I could use it when I'm tanking on my druid.

On the subject of Boomkins: I tried the spec ~L40 and my damage was sub-par to the DPS I was grouped with. I read online that Boomkins end up doing really well in raids (one of the top DPS), but when does that dps really "kick in"? I'm L60 now, would it be worth trying again? Or should I wait until I get my shrooms at 85?
