GF's laptop bugged for DOTs - suggestions?Follow

That's... odd. The only DoT that should reset is Devouring Plague as you can only have it up on one target. SWP and VT you can put up on as many targets as you want. Is it possibly a hit issue? There's a pretty big jump in how much hit you need between heroics and raids.

Even without multi-dotting though, she should be doing way more than 6k DPS. It sounds like there might be other issues. Do you have a armory or combat logs to link?

Not related to the issue, but I see a few things she could fix with gearing.

First off, gems. Intellect is king, so all red slots need to be +40 Intellect gems. Yellow slots can be filled by a Reckless (Int/Haste) only if the bonus is >= 20 int. Blues can be filled with Purified (Int/Spirit), under the same conditions.

Major slots that need regemming:
Shoulder, Chest, Gloves, Waist, Feet.

The head, legs, and ring are minor issues that can probably wait until she gets upgrades, if she doesn't want to do those right away. Focus on the important gems I listed above.

Second is reforging. She needs to be reforging everything into Haste if she can. If it already has Haste on it, then reforge into Spirit. Finally, if it has Haste and Spirit on it, or if you're already over the cap, then reforge into Mastery/Crit. They're close enough right now for it not to be a big issue which. However, that is rarely ever an issue, so it pretty much becomes "Reforge into Haste first, then Spirit".

She needs to reforge:
Head (Crit->Haste), Neck (Spell Pen->Haste) [In fact, upgrade out of this if possible], Back (Resil->Haste), Chest (Mastery->Haste), Wrist (Crit -> Haste), MH (Spi or Mastery->Haste), Wand (Mastery->Haste), Hands (Mastery->Haste), Waist (Mastery->Haste), Legs (Mastery->Haste), Ring1 (Flowers) (Mastery->Haste), Ring2 (Jeweled) (Mastery->Haste), Both trinkets to Haste.

Basically, I'm not seeing enough Haste. She's actually over the hit cap, so she definitely has room to drop some. The spell hit cap is +17%, any more is overkill and unnecessary. There's a big debate over this, but my personal position is that Haste > Hitcap, as long as you're not vastly under cap. No more than 3% under is fine in my book. For example, here's my priest. I'm sitting at 2.27% under the cap. I'd like a little more, but not too much.

Talents and Glyphs look fine to me.

Make sure she's following the casting priority properly. I think Pigtails or I have outlined this elsewhere. I'll look around, and if not make a new post about it.

So yeah. New gems, new reforges, as much Haste as possible, and casting priority.

I mentioned making some very un PvP friendly changes in there, though. This is assuming that this is for PvE 100%. If she wants to avoid changing the PvP pieces, it won't hurt performance too much.

Even funnier, I used to play Horde (on Echo Isles, though), but I faction and server transferred so that I could play with a real life friend of mine, who's in the same guild as me.

That's funny Digg. Pigtails does not PvP if she can avoid it. =x I haven't done a single TB fight and I doubt I ever will.
