Efflorescence has been redesigned. It creates a healing zone at the feet of a Swiftmend target, but this healing zone now restores health equal to 4/8/12% of the amount healed by Swiftmend to the three most injured targets within 8 yards, every 1 second for 7 seconds. This periodic effect now also benefits from spell haste, but the individual ticks cannot be critical effects. In addition, Living Seed is no longer a prerequisite talent for Efflorescence.
So, This I really really like. Of course it means no one will take living seed any more. Maybe they'll change it now.

Living Seed is ok for tank healers. Quite useless for raid healing, though. I, for one, am going to drop it in a heartbeat.

It's like they are begging healers to get rid of it... They unlink it AND nerf it in the same patch...

They nerfed Living Seed?

How's that even possible? The proc now costs a chunk of your mana equal to the MPH of Regrowth?

They gave it a slight change on proc to explode instantly killing your target. Smiley: thumbsup

I'm not aware of any LS nerf, just an efflorescence change (which should be a buff in most cases at least) and the removal of that annoying arrow from LS -> Efflor.

Of course I've been known to miss stuff too...

Even when I'm tank healing I get very little use out of it.

I remember watching a log that showed it as something around 5% worth of healing in a tank healer. It's not great, but is just not as useless as when you are raid healing.

Wait, no, I was thinking about lifebloom.

Druid spell names are too similar. >:(

If the best you can sya about a talent is that it's not as useless for tank healing as it is for raid healing then you'd be a fool to take it if you don't have to.

Assuming you don't have a dedicated tank healer spec. Which I doubt you would, but still.

Out of curiosity, which would be a higher return when tank healing--+2% to Rejuv or 1 point in Living Seed? I feel like it should be the latter.

Because you are going to have to choose one of those two when making any spec anyway. Unless you would prefer -2% damage taken.

[EDIT]

Actually, it seems to me like you're gonna have 1 point in it regardless. Because your other options are -damage, a free wrath, or an auot-rejuv on yourself if you hit 50% health.

So, what do we spend those three talent points on?

Judging by the current talent tree (where I skipped Lifebloom and put one point into Nature's Ward to mimic Efflorescence), it gives us two points to spend on something in Resto to unlock Tree of Life.

Perseverance or Blessing of the Grove? Smiley: dubious

Edit: I think they made some changes to Fury of Stormrage, didn't they? Added something more to it?

-2% spell damage taken.
Just think of how many fights don't have unavoidable spell damage, there aren't that many and reducing incoming damage helps more than a tiny boost to tank healing, although the rejuv boost might be better, I don't know how much you use that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the Talent here. Just saying he's not useless for tank healing, so not every druid healer will drop it. That's all.

And I saw some calculations that showed that, untill you have a certain number of mastery, Living Seed would be better for tank healing than Blessing of the Grove. From that certain point onwards, Blessing of the Grove would be better and scale better. Well, assuming you always have Rejuv and LB on the tank you are supposed to heal. I don't recall the exact number, though.

It'll pretty much allow people doing hard modes to grab perseverance without having to choose which of their other spells to gimp anymore.

Most everyone else will likely get to math out (choose at random?) BotG vs 2/3 NB vs Living Seed vs whatever. Living seed is a couple of % of healing done, BotG is +4% to a spell that will likely make up a high % of your healing. The 2/3 in NB if you didn't have it would be nice for 5 mans, or you're weighing other spells like Nature's Swiftness and Nature's Cure if you dropped those.

In the end it's at least a little more freedom to put points where you feel you need to.

Could always toss them into Genesis as well.

Edit: Bah I'm retarded and can't count my own talent points. You can't because you need those three points to get further in resto tree :(
