Since I plan to make a tanking warrior in the near future something I've been trying to figure out on my own...
Since I will obviously be tanking is there a faster method to mark targets than right clicking, scroll down, and select symbols?

There are a few add-ons that allow for it to be done much faster.
TargetCharms can be found at curse. I can't remember the one I use (but I know it doesn't work with x-perl -.-), TargetIcon maybe.
I know there is also a add-on that will change your target to Skull after so many sec of you actually targeting that said mob.

QuickMark is the name - available on curse
Even using the default Blizzard interface, you can keybind marks to a convenient place on your keyboard. I have 5 of them keybound, and the only time I've had to use more in recent memory is during the faction champs fight.
