Watcha got cooking? how's about cooking something up with me?

Bet you thought this was about you eh Kali?
Sadly for you it's for Teacake.

Because I asked my dad but he's on vacation now so I don't have the recipe for broccoli pie at hand.
I do know the recipe for Broccoli with Gorgonzola Sauce though, so posting that here.
And if you're interested I'll try and get the recipe for lasagna with spinach as well.

Disclaimer: the recipes are from my dad, which means there's no measurements it's all going by instinct as they've changed over the years and as far as I know he's always just done things by instinct and not paying much attention to the original recipe. Smiley: lol

So here's the recipe for Broccoli with Gorgonzola Sauce.
You need broccoli, obviously. A good amount per person as it's the only vegetable in the dish.
Bacon strips sort of thing that doesn't seem to exist in English (Spekjes in Dutch: these things) small bits of bacon will work. You don't need much of it anyway, it's to add some crunch and extra flavour to the sauce.
Bow tie/Butterfly Pasta (other sorts works too, but those are the best.)
And you need Gorgonzola for the sauce, it's blue cheese so the flavour is pretty strong and you don't need too much of it.

Boil the broccoli and the pasta.
Fry the bacon bits until they get crispy.
Make a basic sauce (flour, butter, milk.. you know how it works), add the Gorgonzola and once it's a smooth sauce add the bacon bits.
Finish it up be mixing the sauce and the broccoli and enjoy your dinner.

It's really simple to make but delicious.
I'll add a photo here next time I prepare it, which I should soon(ish) anyway as I've got some Gorgonzola in the fridge :3
