So started me a druid for the 3rd time. Tried twice before and never could get one past 20. Well finally pushed through and just hit 70 today on a druid alt. Have had some spare gold and decided to actually make this my 2nd toon to have epic flying. With my play style this is a pretty good investment of gold for me. Well obviously as a druid I am very used to just turning into a bird and flying, in fact I don't even own a flying mount nor have any desire to get one. Well apparently buying epic flying isn't enough to fly fast in druid form.
I am sure many are laughing for me not researching or just knowing this, but I didn't. Found out I have to do a quest. So I figure alright another time sink run here, run there, waste time, etc. WEll of course this quest was designed during BC. During that era it would prob have been a fine quest. AT lvl 70 before WOTLK this would have made a fine thing to do since your not leveling and I am sure anybody who was willing to dump 5k gold into a toon at this point prob had at least honored rep with most outland reps because that was the thing to have.
Well this toon completely skipped terokar forest because I just didn't want to do it. So my lower city rep is right at 0/3000 neutral. Also if memory serves this is the hardest rep to get to honored of all the required for a heroic key reps if im not mistaken (well ok not as bad as keepers of time I suppose). So now to do this dumbass quest I have to burn time getting to honored which at this point will take forever, do all this other running around bullcrap, and manage to throw together a heroic dungeon that most players won't have rep (or key) to do. I mean if blizzard doesn't want to take the time to update this quest to northrend then just go easy mode and give us the option to train epic flying after paying the 5k for another 100g or something. If I had known this I would have just said ***** it and never bought the training in the first place and just stuck with the 150% bird and been content. Now im out 5k gold on something that won't get used for months unless I want to put my leveling on hold forever.

If it helps i have just leveled a druid to 66 and i had no idea either - guess i better start grinding to 68 in terokar forest! and doing LC quests
Go to the druid trainer. Train the epic flight form, which became available after learning epic flying. Profit.
I believe epic flight form is trainable at level 71 or 72 without any quests.
As for the quest chain, specifically the heroic bit, you can hit honored with Lower City by running each Auchindon instance twice or so, and since you'll probably only be doing this at 80 for Anzu, if at all, it's all soloable.
Hell, I'm a priest and I've got that heroic key.

As Kali says you don't need to do the quest, you can train epic flight form at 71.
ahh well that makes it easy enough. Yea I see it now requires lvl 71 and artisan riding. Guess that makes me arguement null and void. Thanks for the info.
