I was going to make a new thread instead of necroing this one but it was still on the first page, so didn't feel the need. This does mean rogue forum needs people to make more threads of course as it is pretty quiet around here.

Hence thinking a was a useless Necro fool :)

No, that's what happens when your grasp of the English language is that of a third grader and you don't quote people that you're replying to.

It has no proper nouns.

When replying to someone, if you're not going to quote them it's typical to include proper nouns so that people can understand your post.

For example, instead of:

"Oh thanks for this! I was wondering when they would finally put one up."

You should have posted something like:

"Oh, thanks for posting that link, Horse! I was wondering when someone at EJ was going to put up a Sub thread!"

It could be a little less specific, but generally when you're talking directly to someone, you quote them unless you're using proper nouns.

Theo's mini-grammer lesson is technically correct. Some folks could have misconstrued your post to indicate thta this thread was new as opposed to the most recent post with the aforementioned link.

But you also must remember Theo assumes everyone is a moron until they prove him otherwise. He also is rather blunt when confronting stupidity. Which causes many people to think he is a d-bag when in fact he is more of a cuddly teddy bear sort of guy.

Nah, I'm pretty much an ******* all the time.

You're right though, I assume everyone is a functioning ****** until proved otherwise.

I'm a glass half-full kind of person; I at least give them that they can probably function on a daily basis. Reading and coming to a coherent conclusion based on a system of logic (even if their logic is probably wrong) is stretching my optimism a bit far.

Ah but Semantics and Grammar are two different things though.

Also I just figured since this was the only new post in a year that it didn't really need to be explained but we all do as best we can ;)
And I know how Theo functions that's why I'm playing along.

Also I'm French so I like to complain.
