You know when you are so @#%^ing tired you're almost falling asleep behind your pc so then you go to bed and stare at your ceiling for hours?
I @#%^ing hate it when that happens. I was dozing off almost 2 hours ago and I can't keep my eyes closed now that I'm in bed.
I've finally verified that I am unable to take naps. If I take a one-hour nap, I wake up feeling like I've got a case of bad hangovers. If I wake up at all. More often than not, I ignore the alarm and wake up four hours later. Four-hour naps are the worst. I get the same side effects as the one-hour nap, but unlike the one-hour nap, the four-hour nap completely @#%^s up my sleep cycle. I can't wake up after a four-hour nap and then simply go to sleep again a few hours later. If I do, I wake up in the middle of the night, which means I'm even more tired when I get home from work. The only other alternative is that the four-hour nap replaces my regular sleep, but then I'm completely wasted by the time I have to go to work.
If I'm feeling tired after a day at work, I tend to live off of sugar and caffeine until about 45 minutes before bed time. Then I crash, completely. I'm not kidding. If I miss that 45-minute mark, I drop where I stand. There's been times where I've barely made it from the PC to the bed (which is right next to the PC) because I went over the 45-minute mark.
Ugh, I wish I was a Type A personality sometimes. 8-4 jobs weren't made for Type B people.
