You're telling me that if I put those in front of you, you WOULDN'T drink them? Are you a viking or aren't you, dammit?

Speaking of vikings, I've had to read some primary accounts of them lately. Your ancestors terrify me, lol. They make Roman decadence look like a Lutheran parish at Lent.

Modern video games [aka WoW] are really spoiling me. I'm playing through Mass Effect and really screwed up my squad talents. Well, not so much "screwed up" as "forgot that I was planning to use both Garrus and Kaidan, so spending time on Kaidan's tech skills was wasteful--he has like no biotic training yet. It's not SO bad, since it means that I can take Garrus' combat skills up instead. But it IS irritating, because now I really need to continue with Kaidan so I can hit up hard locks, but that means several more levels without investing in anything else with him. Garrus' combat ability is more than sufficient for this part of the game, especially since my shep is a soldier.

No, I just skip the soft drink...

So, I'm now restarting ME (after HOURS spent on this playthrough) because I've hit a part where I just don't have my skills up to par with my needs. And I don't have an earlier save to reload either. >:( If I just had my biotic/tech skills trained properly, I know it would be easy.

I should have just done it when I first realized it would be a problem. But I didn't think things would get THIS tough this fast without adequate CC.

Thing is, they'll do the same without religion. It gives a decent framework for ******* **** up (as it were), but it can also give a decent framework to build a reasonable life on which is my consideration in all this.

I read the original Dracula recently. Really enjoyed it overall.

If you want a good vampire novel (other than Dracula of course), read the original vampire novel: Carmilla. I read it for a gothic fiction class, and it's really good. Plus there's some lesbian action too, which I'm sure everyone but Digg would enjoy. Smiley: grin It's not anything to get super worked up about though. IIRC, there's some kissing and that's about it. We are talking about a novella written during the Victorian era after all.

Not in my opinion there aren't, but some people like it so naturally they would say good things. My point was, that if no one is talking about Twilight in a positive pov, why is there a need for facepalming? Smiley: tongue

Yeah, it's a great novel. Not for everyone, due to it's document nature (the name of the prose style eludes me atm), but definitely one of the reads I enjoyed the most.

Frankenstein is decent too, as long as you aren't expecting anything like what you see in the movies. Mary Shelly's Frankenstein (movie) got pretty close, but was still far from perfect.

But it's more a story of morality than horror.

Talking about Twilight at all is a bad thing. Like a Goodwin argument logic or something.

How annoying, my iPhone set the clock back 1½ hours when we went to winter time. I've tried rebooting, synchronizing with iTunes, etc., but it keeps showing the wrong time.

Anyone know where the iPhone gets its "world clock" information from?

That's... odd. And I assume Apple servers?

Pigtails, facebook. Go.

Edit: reading this back it doesn't quite read as I intended. Chalk it up to being really ******* tired and failing to form a proper sentence.

Ooo! I know, you need like a 6ft stuffed Hello Kitty. I hear they're good for cuddles.

That won't cuddle me though, not as much fun.

On a sidenote, a 6 ft Hello Kitty would probably be the creepiest sex doll ever.

You could add a trio of strategically placed fleshlights. There, I made it creepier.
