If it helps I just got asked to re-analyze some data. It'll take about 3 hours of my time over the next couple days, and is pretty much a pointless fishing expedition. Whatever, we charge by the hour anyway. Smiley: rolleyes

We have certain institutional clients (insurance companies) with certain adjusters who insist on having reports in a certain format. So, I'll send off a report with my analysis and recommendations, and I then get an email saying that it has been a while since "we got a pretrial report" (or pretrial analysis, or whatever that particular company calls its format).

I then have to spendwaste my time preparing a report in their format, that has the same information and conclusions. However, it's formatted! So, for instance, I have pre-printed questions that I then answer, providing the information in different order. This is a total waste of time, and it really cuts into my ability to browse ZAM and reddit. However, receipt of the report at the other end means that person can check off a box that previously had no check mark in it!!!

what reporting tool are you using?

seriously, the hour it takes to set up a report for some snowflake can save many more hours down the line.

plus makes it easy to change the back end stuffs as long as the licker gets his data how he likes it.

Reporting tool. You have no idea what I had to do just to put Firefox on my machine. I had a wireless mouse "because the wire wasn't long enough" and had to ask my boss every three weeks for batteries. I asked the IT guy to get me a wired mouse and he said "No." I replaced my g-9 at home and brought the old one in to the office.

A reporting tool is a good idea. Got any leads on a good one? We're using Time Matters, I'll bet it has something buried in it somewhere.

Kelpie Seaweed Ale.

Edit: I've had beer made with cherries, blueberries, blackberries, ginger, thyme, bay leaf, elderberries, walnuts, chestnuts, almonds, coffee, chocolate, pine and spruce shoots as well as a plethora of herbs and spices and even dandelion before so seaweed doesn't seem that strange. Smiley: tongue

Oh, and I've got a beer made with oysters waiting for me.

Rodenbach Caractère Rouge is made with cranberries (and cherries and raspberries if I recall correctly) and you'd be crazy not to try that if you had the option.

I've mainly heard about it from those people who hate D3 because it's not D2 and who look at D2 through some serious rose tinted glasses.

Which really pretty much means I don't care much about it. I'm not quite done with AC yet anyway.

I don't want to play D3 because I really didn't enjoy the gameplay of D2 and from what everyone has told me that's pretty much it.

Don't bother with spoiler if you're not really Asyluming. I'm just posting this here so I can point to it when it comes up and say "HA!" :

gbaji is gonna get hung up on a passage in the Nebraska Concealed Carry permit requirements stating that 5. Show proof that the applicant has completed, within 3 years of application, a course approved by Nebraska State Patrol, evidencing knowledge and competency with regard to:
a. handling a handgun and appropriate ammunition
b. demonstrating safe firing and handling
c. federal, state, and local laws pertaining to handguns, firearms, self-defense, various levels of assault, and justifiable homicide
d. proper storage of a firearm
e. techniques for avoiding violent confrontation
f. is over 21 years of age
g. must prove that they are a member of active, reserve, or National Guard military forces and has received, within three years of application, handgun training which would satisfy the above requirements.
However, he's going to casually miss that it isn't that you need all of those (IE: Must be military personnel) but that G qualifies as proof by itself of having all the necessary requirements to get the permit, which is pretty much what ORS 166.291(f) is for Oregon.

D3 is basically just smash your way through a (Swiss cheese like)storyline, then do it another 3 times. Then run certain levels into oblivion while grinding in the hopes of maybe sometime getting something not worthless and to get XP.

Path of Exile looks pretty cool, though. I mean, it's the same style as Diablo, but it's... you know... MMO-style instead. And with crazy customization.

I mean, have you seen the skill tree?

Looks like the old Kitty rotation. Balancing that mess will definitely be challenging.

Need to watch some more LP's, because I've only watched a couple of introductory videos and I've no idea how the game actually works. I just know that it's not "kill this boss ten times so you can kill him ten times more on a higher difficulty setting" which is what turned me off D3.

Also, it's free-to-play and the developers have said that they want to do "ethical micro-transactions", which means no pay-to-win.

Saving music on a drive is so early 21st century. I just find the music on YouTube, download and convert a copy via another website, stuff the file in iTunes, sync my phone and delete the files from my computer. It's not like the internet is going to go away soon.

Youtube quality is pretty terrible. Also, iTunes saves the stuff as well and how are you supposed to listen to music when you're at home?

And I still have a fairly extensive CD collection and if I had the money for a good stereo I'd have LP's as well.

YouTube sound quality is excellent at 720p, assuming no compression or loss of data during upload. At home, I use YouTube to listen to music. My computer is connected to my sound system, so I use YouTube a my music player. If you set YouTube to run videos in medium window size, it will automatically run the videos in 720p where available.

I can agree on the LP's, because they're collectibles. Half the charm of an LP is the grainy quality.

Why wouldn't you just get Spotify if you're listening to music over the internet anyway?

And pretty much no song I've looked up on youtube is available in 720p, even 480p is uncommon. Lol old music and all that.

I am drinking a beer that's a resurrection of an old Polish style with malts that have been smoked on oak and willow bark. It's kid of, well, odd. It tastes the way the willow branches smelled when I helped prune the big ol' weeping willow tree in my dad's back yard.

It's a sort of woody tartness that is kinda nice but conflicts with the smokiness of the beer. Not to mention that the smokiness is kind of odd since it's such an otherwise light beer.

Edit: Bill Gates is doing an AMA. And actually answering questions, lots of them too.

Edit2: Got to love Peter Steele's classy album starters:

The intro (first 55 seconds) is called Jack Daniel's & Pizza.

And it's been almost 3 years already since he died. Time goes by way too fast.

That's why I just lift and run more.

I do the same weight routine that I used to do a year ago, but where 12 months ago it took me an hour, it now takes me 20 minutes (I work out twice a day now, once when I get up and once before I go to sleep).

My daughter is weird. My neighborhood, while not really near a graveyard a few paths and roads go past one, and she asked us why there were rocks sticking out of the ground like that. We explained that it's what people do when people special in their lives go away, so they can remember them and honor their memory and stuff. I thought it was a pretty brilliant explanation that I had no part in thinking up and she seemed to accept it. Fast forward to yesterday, when the snowman we made over the weekend started to melt. To put an end to this short story, she wants us to put up a headstone for the snowman.

It's snowed here a bit the past few days and it's been just cold enough that it stays which meant I spent some time today biking through a frozen and snowy forest. Driving down a ~40° slope of ice, snow, loose sand and tree roots is fun.

Edit: You should've seen that coming Lolgaxe.

I started weight watchers yesterday to help me eat healthier, exercise and lose weight. I feel like I'm starving and I want to eat all the things! Readjusting your eating lifestyle sucks balls.

Don't eat less, exercise more! Smiley: nod

Unfortunately, it's far easier to change diet and consume less calories than to burn off more calories with more cardio. Weight watchers is good. I prefer old fashioned calorie counting myself, but I can certainly see the appeal in weight watchers.

I'm dieting right now too, doing the whole calorie counting thing. Fortunately for me, with the crew team I have a pretty large daily caloric usage anyways, which gives me some wiggle room.

Even still I'm holy **** always hungry.

There's been more evidence lately that being a little overweight isn't a bad thing. It's probably not too surprising, but a fatter person who exercises more is likely to be better off than a skinny person who sits on their **** all day.
